They only permit BMWCCA instructors (in the yellow shirts) to be passengers in the car. Spectators are not allowed to be passengers.
that sucks! My brother wants to go. he has a mini too, but hes only 17 right now.
Dave, it is a good thing you never added me to the list. Now you do not have to take me off the list...
Good luck to all and remember to have fun and be safe.

I know for L.A. BMWCCA events they say entrants need to be 18, but as I recall San Diego does not have that requirement. In fact, I seem to remember a teenager in the 16-18 range working over a large chunk of the field (maybe even getting top time of day
) in an ///M5.
My memory may be a bit off though. Best to check with them, the contact from the rules PDF above that Glen pointed out is:
Matthew Kogan at: matthew.kogan@sbcglobal.net
FWIW, if it's ok for him to run the event, he'll still need to have a BMWCCA membership. Also, contingent on it being ok for a 17 year old in the event, if he does indeed have a MC, he'd be eligible to take part in my offer to pay for new MC autocrosser's helmet rental if they didn't already have a helmet.

FS: 15x7 Rota Slipstreams
I'll be selling my 15x7 Rota Slipstreams following the San Diego autocross.
These are my current autocross wheels and they do have some marks on them. If you're looking for a perfect set of wheels look elsewhere.
If you want a nice, lightweight set of autocross wheels, here's the place:
15x7 Rota Slipstreams
Graphite with the polished lip
$300 local sale
If you'd like them with whatever remaining tirelife is left in my V710's (maybe 1 or 2 events, maybe) you could have those too (205/50 R15).
PM me here on NAM if you're interested.

It looks like we have 3 MC's so far (Bruiser, Sir Geoffory, and justacooper).
More would be welcome.
And my offer to pay for the helmet rental for the first two MC drivers to take me up on it still applies.

Any caravans leaving Los Angeles super early morning on the 4th?
If there isn't, I might sleep over at a friend's house in SD and get to Qualcomm EARLY to possibly save spots. Is that allowed?

Oh yeah? Can you get me in?
Ok, I am all set for this one. Woo hoo, bring on 'dem cones, I say.
For this event, I will be bringing an extra camping chair, my family's EZ-Up tent, and a cooler full of water and gatorade.
Dave and Joe, you guys will both be going down to SD early on sat. morning. Can we all caravan somehow? I will be sure to bring my FRS radio, and will tune it to ch7 sub ch 21 (the SCMM freq). So we can find eachother on the highway. My plan was to it the 10east > 110south > 405south > 5south. With a departure of 4am.
It would be great to meet up some other MC (or MCS) drivers on the way down.
Best of luck to all...
