Jinky, I dont understand your BS wakeup calculation, if today is 1 and a wakeup WTF does that mean?

Does it mean 1 day left, and then you wakeup, then autocross?

Still doesnt make sense to me, because assuming the announcement is in the morning (which it has been) you have all of today, and all of tomorrow, so thats TWO days and a wakeup. Not one.

The way I count it, tomorrow morning is the one and the wake up.

Did you use the russian numbering system? (The same one they use in their shady military equipment)

Is that why you didnt give us a wakeup today? Because you realised the math was wrong and you were thinking no one would notice?

You poor, mathematically deprived, yogurt slurping, poor sex giving, sorry excuse for an autocrosser, give me a rundown on how this x and a wakeup works, coz now I'm confused.

You are obviously confused by your built in, out of wack, Fijian time, body clock. Either that or Keith Richards fell out of a banana tree and landed on your head. Today doesn't count. As soon as you wake up you deduct one from the count. Day is over, done, finita 'la comedia. That leaves one (Friday, tomorrow) and a wake up. Meaning when you wake up: it's ON.

I know it's a hard thing to grasp for you civilians, but it made perfect sense in the military. But don't fret. Once the SD AutoX is over I will start a new count for the October Hollywood Park event, so you will have plenty of time to get into swing of things.

P.S. Let me know if you need me to explain the leap year and the century starts on year one thing. :impatient

I am confused. Why do they call it the ring? The damn thing is square. Even in UFC it's a frigging octagon. WTF?

Yeah, Boi! All we have now is the wake up. So in honor of this occasion I wrote a little motivational poem for all of you:

'Tis the day before races and all through the house
Not a creature was turning, not even a mouse
The tires are mounted, the gas tank is full
The intake was cleaned and the air is cool.

So hide all the children, and get out of the way
‘Cause here come the NUTS and we're leading the fray.
Best times will be broken and trophies be won
So come watch us race, come one and come all.

This here is the Jinky, with yogurt in hand
I stomp on the gas while I tear up the land.
My car's Angelina, but don't be surprised
If at the end of the day the winner's my wife.

Sadly, yes.
My car is only 5 months old, and the tires have about 4000 miles on them and two auto-x's. Tommorrow will make it three. I'll most likely get some Falken's...then look out!!!!!

No. I am being factitious.

Runflats rock man. Just a little rough, but that's how I like to roll.

They grip better than chunked bfg sports thats for sure. tougher too.

I am so very sad...

I will not be able to make it... serious work problems came up and I need to be in LA tomorrow, Saturday...

I hope everyone has fun and enjoys a safe (fast) time. I was so looking forward to putting faces with screen names... I guess I will have to wait until Hollywood park...

sorry to hear that garth. I was looking forward to meeting you and a couple other MINI owners I haven't met before.

I'll definitely see you at Hollywood Park. I'm sure it will be another red letter day.

What a Blast!

Yeah- my first Auto-X. (Spectator of course!) The MINIs were well represented! Too bad my camera died after the first three photos.

Can't wait to see the results posted!

I had fun on my new wheels and tires. Course was a bit confusing, lots of DNF's for people. I did most of my practice runs with an instructor since this was my first time in San Diego, and wasn't focused on what my actual run times were. Did anyone get any pictures of me? Maybe of me going sideways during my 3rd timed run at the slalom?
