I hope at least some of you understand that making a product like the
AGS is not a small undertaking, to make it happen in 6 months is a
miracle....period.
We are showing something much BIGGER then you can imagine, we have been working on this for over 4 months and we are finalizing all the details
this week.
This will ultimately be available for both the MCS and the MC.......

My girlfriend just started writing for a local paper in La Habra. I told her I was going to be up in that area for the dyno day, and was trying to explain to her exactly what we were doing with our cars; the process, what we were trying to find out, etc. Yesterday she was on the phone with her editor and mentioned it to him because they are in desperate need of local stories and he thought it would be a cool little get-together to cover. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be opposed to her observing and asking some questions that day. Let me know if that's kool in the gang.
bring her on
i do not think That any body would mind....
it will make a realy cool story and i am sure jeff at DRS would love the wright up on his shop........
MAY BE NOW WE NEED TO PLAN SOMETHING FOR LUNCH?
ANY IDEAS?????

Cool. Glad to hear people are down. I gave her Jeff's number, so she'll call him and tell him what the deal is. She is also going to speak to the editor tomorrow and see if she can get a photographer over there.
M7's product unveiling will most likely be a part of the piece, but I don't know exactly how the article will go down. It is for a local area publication (a weekly), and 99% of the readers probably don't even know what a dyno is. Aftermarket products and tech talk will have to be tip-toed around in order to make it understandable to the readership. I imagine the article being more about the event and the local business than about things that you, I, or people on this board would be particularly interested in (NUMBERS!!!). I dunno'...we'll just see what happens.

oooohhhh.. fishbowl lens.....
for those that were not there.... Bud's car is the "best" done Mini I have ever seen. Now if he puts in a twincharge....
you have to see the car to get the full picture, the car is sweet
we will try to get some more pictures of it...

Thanks guys
I appreciate the kind words. My son and I went yesterday and had a great time. It was nice to put names and faces together. Everybody was very welcoming. Some VERY NICE cars there. Finally got to see The Devil in person, impressive to say the least. El and Dave were very helpful, thanks guys. And Juan, thanks for the pictures! If I tried to take em, you guys would be looking at my thumb
(I always take horrible pics)

Gotta' agree that Bud's car is super-nice. The CF interior detail was truly amazing. A lot of other hot cars there too--I can tell you guys have put a lot of attention and care into your rides.
Thanks to Jan, Dave, and Peter for the information and suggestions regarding my first mods. Thanks to miniraider (sorry don't know how to spell your name) for organizing everything. I'd be interested in doing another dyno day in the spring.
blacknblue - I don't think we met...do I speak to you about joining scmm.org?
Peace,
Shane
PS - Thanks also for the dyno results. Anyway to get that with a mod list?

dyno results
I have posted my results. Ambient was about 70 degrees F. Hood was open, one fan blowing at it. First run taken about 10 minutes after I arrived, so it was pretty much operating temp. successive runs with nothing done to cool it down between runs. Me thinks closing hood and blowing at scoop would have helped.
Jan 2003 build with mods - 15% pulley, alta intake, ebay (Rspeed style 2) exhaust.
Was hoping for more. Any suggestions?
Sure runs rich.

I got my dyno there the weekend before when I was with some BMW guys and I got some pretty impressive #s. My car is a 2005 MCS w/3300 miles and my mods are just 15% Alta pulley and GIAC chip. I made 170whp and 160tq. Pretty impressive I'd say with just those two mods.
thanks to every one...IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU ALL.
the dyno day was a great event and it went very well because of all of you.
hope that every one had a great time and learned something..
I KNEW I PICKED UP LOADS OF INFO ON MODS
TAMOOSH.........
