I just purchased an 04 Mini COoper S that is dark blue and a bunch of mods. I tracked the car back to Maddog2020 from SCMM and was wondering if anyone can give me good history about this car. I know it was driven hard because its pretty obvious.

I know the car and the past owner . Should be in good shape. Check with Steve at Steve's Auto Clinic as I beleive he may have done most of the mods. Steve's number is 818 891 6109. Tell him it was Ian's car.

I don't know about driven "Hard", it was driven like a MINI should be driven, "Like it was just stolen"

The previous owner took good care of the car. But used it well.

It was definitely not a "Garage Queen".

I know that Ian took it out to Willow Springs a couple of times.
Why is it obvious ? Bald tyres? Crunchy tranny??

friend bought it from an auction for me. When we got the car the interior needed some help, fenders where broken, front end pitted more than an 16yr old face, and then the race clutch..... but i got it so cheap i didnt care. just got the interior finished, now gonna paint the front end and fenders and it will be good as new.

This thread is awesome. I sold my mini in 2005 I think. My daughter just bought an '05 Cooper S, and now I need to do a few maintenance type things to it, so I signed up here (actually found that I already had an account), and lo and behold I find a thread that referenced my SCMM username and talked about my old Mini. Lots of good memories stirred up by this post.
