What did I miss, I havn't attended any functions the past two months (brand new baby) but am itching to get back into the group gatherings...Your no longer VP? Were there new elections or did you just step aside? I met you in the rain during the Solvang weekend or was it the Julian run, whatever...what gives?

As for my former position as VP, I stepped aside for personal reasons. I think SCMM is a great group and hope to remain as active as possible in it!

See you at another event this summer, I'm sure!

Just to let you know, Me and Coolbrz (Ed) are contemplating the run up there from San Deigo, I would have to be on the road by 5 am to make it from Eastern Chula Vista to the meeting spot by 8, but again, we are interested and asking ourselves, "Can this old man get up again that early?" Either way, I hope someone takes pics to share.

Careful on the way up the mountain guys. The cops like to hang out there. And be nice to us sportbike riders on the mountain.

 

With my radar dector I am not too worried about the cops on the mountain, all the times I've run it my dector has given me more then enough time to slow down and avoid the ticket, so no worries because I will be leading the group. See you guys sunday.

Oh and I know you guys are messing around and so am I just try to keep this thread on topic, there are forums for off topic stuff.

Iwas there where was everybody else.Only 4 MINI showed up, for shame :evil:
There was a group of wrx's so we tagged along awesome road after the fog that was halfway up the mountain,About 60 miles of high speed curvy roads it was fun sorry not too many people wanted to get their windshield dirty and come on down oh well more roads for me.

 

I wanted to go but I woke up too late and I live kinda far and wouldn't make it to the meeting spot on time. sorry...

 

i'm glad you guys had fun, sorry i didn't make it out today, had a navigational rally yesterday that lasted 10 hours, got home at 5am and slept through my alarm clock. I'll be setting up more of these run with my WRX friends all throughout the summer. See you guys next time.

I was there yesterday and yes, it was tons of fun!!!! we ended up with just 4 minis but it was cool... thanks to the subaru dudes for letting us tag along.... bombing through those canyons were a blast especially seeing those wrx's going nuts... to add to that we had a wrx sti in the mix..... those things move... in any case, we minis weren't embarassed as we tried to keep up :smile: here are some pics....
