Are there any good mini mechanics in Austin? I googled and I got this guy. Have you guys ever used this guy?

 

Good question, I am curious to the answer. Anyone who advertises to specialize in the MINI will probably know more than the other 99% of the mechanics out there though. Give him a visit maybe. I found my mechanic in Seattle by looking for Euro mechanincs who didnt work on MINIs and asking who they would reccomend.

 

I thought this was a thread on the Classics. I suggest stopping by the shop, ask for a tour and get to know the folks that work there, if you can trust them with your life (you really do when they fix your car) and do it for a fair price then you should have a good idea.
Is there an Austin club, maybe someone could show you some of the work they've done, looks like bread and butter is service while they do some mod work too, based on the website.

 

Terry Sather has a pretty good rep. from the people I've talked to -- mom & pop kinda place. They are pretty busy, but always have time to talk MINI.

 

Terry is considred an authority on Minis. Especially among independent mechanics.

 

In Austin, they are the best.
