I'm thinking about getting my dad driving lessons/track time for his birthday. He lives in Little Rock, and I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of tracks within an hour or two of Little Rock. Please help me, I've only got a couple of weeks to go!

Thanks!

An idea- contact the BMWCCA chapter for that area and ask when there is a sponsored track event and where. get the details, usually there is a chapter president that will know. The nearest MINI dealer will have a BMW dealer adjacent and the BMW dealer will know which chapter is active and closest. That is where I would start.

No specifics, but hopefully some good resources . . .

The closest MINI dealer to Little Rock, AR, is Roadshow MINI/BMW (2 - 2 1/2 hr. drive) in Germantown/Memphis, TN (the next closest would be dealers in OK, MO or TX):

There is a local chapter of the BMWCCA, but it is also based in Germantown/Memphis, TN:

John C. Lessel, who lives in Little Rock, is their "Arkansas Officer at Large," and his e-mail address can be found on the River City Bimmers' website.

The closest place for lessons and track time (on a real race track) would also likely be at the Memphis Motorsports Park:

The Arkansas chapter of the SCCA might also have some ideas:

Personally, I hope to take my MCS up to St. Louis (a 6/12 hour drive) soon for the Phil Wicks Driving Academy at Gateway International Raceway:
