O.K. I am starting this thing.

I have talked to 2 other MINI owners here in town, and we want to make a showing at the Scottsdale Pavillions on a Saturday night in the near future.

We have not picked which Saturday yet, but I would like to know who is in.
Now I know that this might now be everyones scene, but to some of us, it is.

So, in the words of the Jerry McGuire, 'Who's comming with me"?

 

I'm in, let's see some MINIS show up. Better get there early, this time of year with the weather and all. Pick a Saturday night before April if that's possible.

 

O.K. That makes 4 of us. Who else wants to come along.
I am still open to a date. Nothing is set in asphalt yet.

 

What's wrong with this Saturday (3/29) ?

 

Sunday morning the 'Over the HIll Gang' is having a poker rally starting at the 5 & Dinner accross the road from the Pavillions. I know there will some MINIS there. But I'll try and make it this Sat. nite if everyone is up to it.

 

Can anyone else confirm or deny ability to show up tonight?

I got to show off my MINI to a guy who didn't know the MINI came back. He used to own a Morris Minor. He really enjoyed seeing my MINI. Of course I had fun showing it to him as well.

 

That's probably one of the best things about parking your MINI out amoungst a good selection of really cool cars. The people who walk right by a real incredible car just to get to yours and start asking questions about it.

Who is planning on attending the MINI Rally at MINI North Scottsdale on May 3?
It is a short distance to the Pavillions from there.

Anyone interested in making an appearance that night?

If I participate in the rally, I think I might be too pooped out to hang out that night.

 

I don't know if I am going to participate yet or not.
But I am going to show up to talk "mini" with everyone.
I need to network.
Then I might head over to the pavillions that night.
It is only a short drive away.

 

I live in PHX and would like some more info. about the 5/3 rally. What's it all about?

 

Nevermind, I just read the next thread! What does this rally consist of? They say it's non-competitive, but talk about starting times, etc. What's up?

 

Actually it's called a 'Tulip Rally'. The instructions your given are in the form of pictures or diagrams with milage between each picture. It's non-competitive because the Mini club does not want to pay the insurance premium for a competition type rally. Actually the end of the rally will be out in the east valley at another shopping center cruise in. This is in conjunction with the first Saturday night out at Power Rd. and Hamption in Mesa which is British car night. I'll have to agreed that the Pavillions in Scottsdale is probably the best place to go to see a lot of really cool cars. But once a month out in Mesa is okay. I think the excitement will be at MINI of North Scottsdale. This is suppose to be the state of the art dealership in perhaps the world. This will be a good time to check it out and see.

 

Just to let everyone know I will be out at the Scottsdale Pavillions (04/19) this saturday. So if anyone wants to see my new headliner, or meet me and Sugar, come by and say Hi! :smile:
