I'm at 2minis' and 3minis' house for a few days....YAY!!!

Thirsty baboons attack villagers

A violent struggle over scarce water resulting from the current drought has erupted between thirsty baboons and residents of Isiolo District.
A young girl was left bleeding profusely after she was attacked by thirsty baboons at Sericho Division last Friday.
Aisha Wako, 12, was in company of three other girls who had earlier walked for 12 km to draw water from a borehole.
The girls were attacked by more than 30 baboons while walking back to their village at Badana.
The apparently thirsty baboons wrestled containers from the girls and drunk the water after chasing them away.

My girlfriend and I just got our new MINI Cooper last week (named Howard) and I just joined this site. While we can't make a dinner this Thursday (were strangers invited?), we would like to meet up with other MINI owners in Central Florida.

I'd love to go, but I'm leaving for NJ really early tomorrow for a week. Fingers crossed for Deals Gap!
Actually I need to be at Downtown by 8:30-9 am to get my air bag light fixed. Then I leave for NJ. Loooooong day!

Hey it's only 16 hours, from Centreville.... Patricia and I made the drive last Monday to Ft Lauderdale. Straight through, with a pregnant woman no less!!!

I first discovered Minis when I visited England, Wales, and Scotland in 1993. I lived in London for 5 months in 1996-1997 and noticed them all the time. I even visited the showroom and received a nice marketing package for the 1997 Mini.
I met my girlfriend Jigna online when she sent me an IM from India. We chatted for a year before finally meeting in 2001 when she came to Denver for grad school. Now she is living here in Orlando and started a new job as an architect. When she wanted to get a car, I showed her the MINI. She is a fan of modern art and architecture and minimalism, and loved the design of the MINI. We found one on the lot at Downtown MINI just like we (read: I) wanted in Indi Blue and CVT on a Saturday and got the car on the following Wednesday (4/16). Waiting just the 4 days was tough. We love the car and I never get tired of telling people about it. You can read the specs in my sig. We got some great photos of it with my brother-in-law's new Hummer H2, quite a difference in size as you can imagine.
Jigna named the car Howard after Howard Roark, the architect in "The Fountainhead" and the first thing she asked me about when we met online. But we both agreed that the name seemed right for the car.
Waved to my first passing MINI owner today in Winter Park.
