Hey what do you ladies and gentelmen think of making a night of the opening of the movie The Italian Job. From some of the threads I am reading lots of people are planning on doing something when it opens. I think it is in May sometime so it gives us enough time to make the plans. We can all meet in a central location, eat dinner and then catch the movie and afterwards go to some place for drinks or coffee after to talk about the movie. Not necessary to go to the opening night but it may be cool if we can get all the MINI's on a Saturday night and park all together at the theater. Or go to the drive-in at the Swap Shop drive-in at Ft. Lauderdale. What do you all think?? We can talk more about this at the meeting in April. Just think this could be a good time. Let me know your thoughts. I posted this MINI Talk also.

 

I'm in Central FL, but I'd possibly be up for it. I made the road trip down to Ft. Lauderdale to see Dark Blue World, only 3 hrs drive, and I'd definitely do it again! Especially for The Italian Job!

How about a trip to Muvico Palace 20? We can do dinner and the whole works! Might even be able to set some special parking arrangements with them.

 

Just what I would like to do Mark. We need to talk to everyone at the George and Dragon and get this setup. I think it will make a great time for all.

Sounds like a great idea! Count us in! We will be leaving for North Carolina on 5-23, however. Dinner, movie and drinks sounds like my kind of evening out !!

Bruce, I comp[letely forgot to bring this up at the meeting, but I'll go ahead and see if I can get the details worked out!
That would be the Muvico "Premier" at the Palace 20 off of Glades Rd.
They have the Premier section which is adult only with food and drinks. (We can have dinner there) Also, they have a kids playroom area with babysitting service for those children too young to enjoy the show.
Premier section is all reserved seating in the upper balcony with what I call Love seat sofa chairs. They are huge and once you try them you will not want to go to another theater! Will pass along more details as I get it worked out.
