For what it's worth, the problem seems to have resolved itself the last 3 mornings. I've been getting normal, or very close to normal, response times during the early morning hours (5-7 am) that were previously the problem hours.

Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

I appreciate the additional information but to really figure out what is going on I need:

1) Time , date, and your timezone when you see the problem
2) The type of problem (site won't respond, db error, site slow, etc.)
3) Duration of the problem (how long do you see this before the site is again available)

Without time information it doesn't really shed any light on a pattern of when the issues are occurring.

Thanks

Mark

1) 3/15/2007 (date of 1st post)
2) Slow responding which then goes to not responding, and db error
3) Anywhere from 5 min to 40 min (my exp.)

It's baaaaaaaaaaack.

This morning at 5:30 EST, took 4 minutes to open the website. "Waiting for http...". Took a few more minutes to open the next page but it suddenly improved around 5:40.

I've put some "on-the-server" and "on-the-internet" monitoring services in place and I'm seeing the server become unreachable about 6am Eastern over the last two days. During this time the server seems to be operating with no issues so I suspect it is some type of network issue. I need a couple more days of data and then I'll be able to provide some decent information to our host so they can investigate.

Thanks for your patience while I dig into this while juggling all the Dragon planning.

Mark

I've been tracking this and over the last week I see this happening at almost the same time every day. As soon as I can get some more items taken care of for the Dragon I'll be digging into this further.

The last post was listed at 3:31am, it's now 8:22am central timezone. Just starting to be able to see NAM again. It was just hanging trying to make contact. All my other internet was fine.

I'd be willing to become a paying member (maybe $5-$10 a month or so) if that would help to get a bigger server (assuming server load is the problem)

I've been tracking these issues and will dig into them further to determine a solution immediately after MOTD.

Yea, just think, 110 months of that $10 and I could pay for that airbag (that will probably never be fixed.)
