They've been contacted and their approach will be changing. I'd appreciate it if you'd cut them a bit of slack and give them a second chance though as the days go on since it's only their first day on the site and again, they will be modifying the approach.

EDIT: I just finished doing some minor house cleaning. Probably a little more to do, but I'll leave that for sometime this weekend.

Thanks for posting - I sent a message via the 'contact' link about it yesterday after I got hit with a bunch of emails from threads I was subscribed to and felt really spammed. I also noticed the product pushing in a thread where it wasn't relevent at all and forwarded that as it was out of place. Haven't had a reply yet and it was heartening to see that I wasn't the only one who felt it was a bit much.

I began to fear that all my many thread subscriptions could result in crazy spamming from vendors in the future

Actually fourth. That guy hijacked my Magellan thread at 4PM and I found it pretty offensive because he wasn't trying to answer my question ... just sell his stuff.

Granted he's a paying vendor and all, but that does not give him license to use every remotely related tread as if it were 'Vendor Announcements'.

The identically worded 'post' in each thread comes across as spam, plain and simple, whether he's trying to help or not. It's all about context.

Agreed. I was honestly looking for some info on Bluetooth and iPod adapters, and now every thread I go into is the same. I get the picture! If I wanted a Vcom, I'd go to a Vcom thread and/or ask him about Vcom. I don't want a Vcom. He even hijacked a MikeyTheMini thread (who is at least very helpful, answers questions, and let's the products largely sell themselves). <sigh>

Sorry Guys

We are new to the site so we do apologize for getting off on the wrong foot....but we are a paying sponsor because we do have some great cost effective solutions for for Ipod conectivity, Nav, and Bluetooth ...that won't clutter the Mini cockpit..and we do service and take great care of our customers...but I am sorry for cluttering the threads and will work at being more relevant and informative.
