Well I just found out, by accident, that when you are viewing a thread and on the keyboard you hit the 5 the thread jumps to post #5, so I hit 9 and it jumps to thread #9, etc. . Maybe everyone but me knew this but I just found out by accident.

Mine doesn't work that way either... but it may need to be from the numerical pad (which I don't have on a laptop).

Maybe you have some sort of keyboard app on that senses all hotlinks on a page and assigns them to keys on your system...

This is interesting, but it does work - sort of. When I was at the top of the thread and hit 3, the screen jumped to the 3rd post and the 3 was highlited. Apparently you will also jump to the first instance of a letter too. It's not reliable because of the first instance thing (sometimes the first instance is in the menu to the left of the thread, etc.). I think it was coincidence that it worked so many times in a row for 10851CS.

 

I am on a Mac so I don't know, but, I found out you have to be on the page of the post number you put in. If you are page one and put in 55 it will not go to it if it is on page 3. Oh well.

well my browser has the ability to search the current page if nothign is selected and I just start typing... so on long text pages instead of going to edit --> Find all I do is type and it finds it... each browser is different
