Editing posts screws up signature code
Why is it that when editing a post the HTML in your signature quits working? It seems that the post can only deal with BBcode, but the signature likes HTML. Just frustrating that my signature gets screwed up when I make edits.
It's not a big deal.

If you see a post of mine without a sig, it means I have edited the post. I usually just delete all the sig information instead of having the sig get messed up.
Edited by DID: here's an example of my sig if I don't delete it when I edit my post.

If you really want, when you edit a post, you ran rewrite the HTML from your sig in "MCO HTML" (i.e. instead in <img src="html://...">, use [IMG] tags.) Usually, when I edit a post, I edit the post, edit/copy the text, delete the post, and then submit an entirely new post. That way, if i change my sig, it will also change on the corrected post.
And another thing
On unedited posts the signature continues to reload the most current signature in your account profile.
On edited posts, the signature is treated like it's part of the main message text . So if you do change your sig in your profile after posting and editing a thread, the new signature will not update in that edited post. In fact, that edited post acts as though you don't have a signature (i.e. it fails to load the current signature, and treats your old signature as message text, so that won't update either). I hope that explanation is remotely clear.

I missed that little bit. As far as my experience goes, you can only delete a post until someone else makes a reply. So, that one might not always work either.

I went with your suggestion and replaced the IMG SRC code on my edited signature address with the img and /img tags. I hate it when things don't look right!
Thanks again...

Found out that is definitely how it works!
