Super slow web page loading!?

Dear Lord, it took 5 times reloading to get the page to load to make this thread! What's going on with NAM? No issues with any other websites, wouldn't expect there to be much traffic at 2:00 am in the morning!

I'm not running a router, cat 7 cable from modem directly to computer. No wireless setup (anti-wireless), I believe in non-wireless for just about everything including the mouse. This slow web page loading only happens on NAM and no where else.

Do you mean actually flooded router as in rain water? Our storms have been brutal!

a home router ... you don't have to go wireless .... actually adds a level of security if you bother to program the router.

but don't mind me ... I only did IT from b4 it was IT and for the next 30 years . . .

What computer and OS are you running?

And please don't run with a direct connection. A $30 wired only router will isolate you transparently from unwanted incoming traffic. Well worth it. You can even use a wireless router and disable the wireless part.

Sounds like you might be hitting the daily sever maintenance processes based on that time of day. Are you experiencing troubles at other times of day as well?

Also what pages were you attempting to load? Sometimes the longer and/or heavy photo threads need to be closed and have a version 2, 3, 4, etc. started to keep things running smoothly.

Windows 7 Ultimate, Core i7 @4.5GHz, 16GB Ram, 4GB video card Ram. I don't see a weak link here. I have been using the direct connect to modem long before these loading issues began.

It's happening right now, it takes longer to load when going from thread to thread, screen is blank white for 5 seconds then the webpage loads. Doesn't happen anywhere else, all my other forms load super fast and my speeds are screaming fast!

There must be a router somewhere en route to NAM's IP that's loaded. Does anyone know NAM's IP address, I can type it in and see what IP is problematic.
