I see that you can tell who is online, but is there a way to chat with whoever is here? I've seen that on other forums, and it's pretty cool.

At some point in the future we'll add chat to the site. Given that the site is only a few months old I've not added chat since doing so would remove valuable, searchable information from the forums. Chat, by its very nature, does not archive potentially useful information that would be of benefit to other members. If we can get every US and Canadian MINI owner to join the site :smile: we'll build up a knowledge base that will allow chat to be added....so go get all your friends and families with MINIs to join!

Hey, just out of curiosity, how old IS our beloved MCO?

MCO officially launched in March of this year so we're a whopping 8 months old

 

I've never tried it but I noticed that you can send a proivate message to someone if they're online. Does that work??

 

I hadn't thought of that. It's a good thing you're running things.

You can actually private message someone if they are online or not. Effectively PM is just like email but its only accessible through the site
