as the oldest of the gen1 mini's have come down in cost, more and more rude or unrully folks that tend to act disrespectful seem to be getting more common...not saying that it is due to the lack of $$, just a different clientele and market as the cars age...a bit of a younger, less experanced crowd i guess......guess it comes with the territory, but i believe and hope the 90% of us that work to help others can drown those folks out.

 

To the OP - you can't really think that some fool with 47 posts is an accurate representation of an entire forum. Especially as a forum junkie you would know that every site has a few 'special' people.

To the other guy - damn you were up for an argument. Nowhere in your post did you say you had this stuff. You said it "should" be good. To me that sounds like a recommendation and I appreciate other people that can give contrasting opinions. Especially if it can save me wasting my hard earned on something that's not great. And as for the fruitful thing, you actually made me lol.

I feel bad for GT, this is in no way indicative of our average forum member and don't worry it shouldn't happen again. Yeah we have some people who are strongly opinionated but they are never as illiterate or belittling. This is the rare rare exception. NAM is probably one of the best forums I have even been on in the last 12+ years of being on the interwebz.

And to those that are new, the quickest way to have such disrespectful behavior handled is using the post report icon () found at the top right of every post. It makes sure the moderators are notified and not just waiting on happenstance for one of the handful of us to come across the issue. I do think the MINI community does on a whole act in a much more welcoming, respectful and appropriate manner compared to many other car forums.
