The site seems to have developed Stumble and Yo-Yo lately.

I've drifted to running 4 browsers because sometimes it takes
up to 60 seconds to get an update from a SUBMIT or when
changing to a different forum.

Mark, are you getting you money;s worth from your hosting company?

(by the way, the sponsor ads do keep updating. )

In monitoring the server (we have a dedicated server that is managed) over the last couple of weeks I've made some changes that appear to have improved things a bit. That said two changes are underway (but are taking a while) to get implemented. The first is a move to a new server (dual Xenon processor, 2GB ram, Raid 1) to better support the site. The other is the migration to a new software platform. I've done some experimentation with load testing and when I see the current site running slow I see no degradation when testing a demo environment I put together that is using the new software.

I know its a pain but please be patient while I wade through the migration(s)...there are only so many hours in a day that I can work on the migrations (and all the other site-related things I'm working on) without needing some sleep

Thanks!

Mark
