Mark-
Just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with your site...the only problem is that the PT in the driveway is getting a bit nervous! I went through the waiting game 2 years ago for our PTs, now I'm standing in line waiting for my S. Your site gives me the Mini fix that I need. The updates and info shared by the rest of the faithful is welcome indeed!
Thanks for all your hard work!

Thank you for your hard work on this site. It is a great benefit for us Mini owners (about-to-be Mini owner, in my case).
May I request that you improve the visibility of the type in Netscape format? I use Netscape 4.75 (I tried and rejected Netscape 6), and it is almost impossible to see the text on the main pages of your site. Much of it comes out as a dark green on a black background. This is not a problem in Explorer--it is very clear. But it's important to be useable in both browser systems.
Thank you. Shep

The ONLY thing I'd like to see is the viewed links a different color. I keep going back over the same things because I can't remember which ones I've viewed.
keep up the good work. i really do like the site

Per Shep's posting I have been able to replicate the issue he was seeing. It appears that the site's style sheets are not being properly handled by Netscape 4.7X versions. I'm looking into this and hope to have a better understanding of the issue in the next couple of days. In the meantime rest assured that the site will be much more attractive to you (and easier on the eyes) when I get this resolved. I typically test against the most current release of Netscape, IE, and Mozilla so I had not run into this issue before. Thanks for bringing this to our attention
Mark
PS - I'll also see what I can do on the viewed links color as well. Keep the great feedback coming!

Rocketboy_X.... Zappa,
Thanks for the feedback. We are working on some new combinations that may help with the above mentioned problems. We hope to have these issues put to rest very soon.... Thank you for your patience as we work through this.
Again thanks for the feedback. Good or bad we want it all. Your feedback is what makes MCO a better place to be.

I stumbled upon this website a few months ago while looking for info on the Cooper S. The site is well organized, easy to navigate and the forums are informative in the extreme (which is a very good thing). Also, I really, really appreciate not being bombarded with pop-up advertisments. Kudos to you all. This is just what I needed.
I have a 2500lb monkey on my back and I never want to get it off!!!!
Waiting for an Indi Blue/White Cooper S w/white 5-Star rims, driving lights, DSC & Cold pkg.

Curious to know where eveyone is located. Maybe a place in membership page for hometown? I would like to know in who's backyard I am crossing with my expirience-o-meter.

ubuyifly,
Thanks for your post. You can actually see this information today by clicking on Main Menu/Member List and select the member you are interested in viewing. While its up to each user what they put in the "Location" field during registration, this will typically provide some useful information about the user's location.
On a related note see the message on the homepage regarding ideas for support of regional clubs and organizations. We are soliciting feedback for potential new site features.
Thanks!

Having worked as a type specialist and designer for a lot of years I would ask you to consider a serifed typeface. Serif faces have been proven for eons to be easier to comprehend and read than sans-serif faces. Have you ever seen a newspaper set in sans-serif? The answer is NO! White on black is not too swift either. I like the site and the info. So keep up the good work, Ron.
Ron,
Thanks for the feedback. We constantly struggle between the look and feel of the site and the functionality development necessary to build a stronger community. Of late we have been focusing on development tasks to support some upcoming features. The Dealer Rating System was the first of these features to be released. At some point we will revisit the look of the site. One of the ideas heard recently, that we'll likely explore in the future, is to provide an alternative look and feel for the site so you can view it without "suspicion" during work hours  In the meantime here is a way to address both the font issue and color issue. Note: this is not something that I, personally, tested extensively and therefore should be used with caution (ie - we will be hard pressed to support any custom settings on your personal machine):
Internet Explorer on Windows
Select Tools/Internet Options/General/Accessibility
Change the formatting options to your choice (Note: checking the Ignore colors box appears to break all the images on the site - we recommend not doing this

Here's a way to change your view in Opera... (Can't forget thoes guys (probally all one of me...))
Depending on your screen resolution, hit the '+' on the numeric keypad, or on the address bar, use the drop down menu all the way on the right (that 100% thingie).(BTW, I use 120%)
Also on the address bar, click the third button in from the left. I'm not sure what icon it is (due to the skinning), but the tooltip should read 'Toggle between author mode and user mode".

Thanks Mark, I changed the type to Bookman,,,,much better. Couldn't do anything with the color because it screwed everything up, but half a pie is better than no pie. Thanks again. Ron
