I don't believe that is 100% accurate. Yeah, they will have to pay to use Tapatalk to interact but members will still be able to use their current means of mobile connection. I have tapa on my site, MMACrypt.com and I can connect either via Tapa or the internet browser on my phone, doesn't matter which one I use. The browser side I use for more admin type of stuff while I surf via Tapa.

And I don't mean to be pushy on this, I just want to make sure you have all the info. I was also sent an email that stated you guys are still running 3.5 which might make this all invalid since tapa starts at 3.6. But in any case, it is a great product, I wish I had a little stock in it.

There is also another one out there that I haven't install yet but I still need to play with and see how it works. I don't even remember what it's called but I'll play with it down the road.

Why does NAM not have an enhanced experience for iOS? consider that MINI themselves figured out most MINI owners also own iOS devices... Mini2.com has an app... Currentl that means I navigate NAM mostly via RSS, which is a loss to site owners as I see less of your ads/surrounding content...

This is in the works, sort of. The tech support team is working on a mobile version of the site; however we are currently on vBulletin 3.5 and we need to be at least on 3.8 for that to happen. There are a lot of custom features that need to be updated with updating our vBulletin; and those features are currently being tested and updated to make sure everything works for everyone and then we will be updating and adding several features including a better mobile browsing experience. I don't have dates yet, but I do anticipate this summer being quite busy.

 

Ironically NAM is owned by Internet Brands Inc., which also owns the vBulletin software.

According to the update announcement from last Friday, and verified by looking at the source for a page, NAM is currently on 3.8.7.

I just purchased Tapatalk for iPhone.

It's a popular app and I really like its integration, but would be very happy if NAM could be found there.

Would be nice. Safari on my iTouch is not quite as convenient.

I know the "other" guys support TapaTalk, you'd think NAM would be quick to do it!

In the meantime you can use the Archive link https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...cooper-forums/ It's the whole forum content wise minus the photos, so the lighter platform can make it easier to read and load NAM on a phone.

I'll check with our Tech Guys as far as forum runner goes, I know some of the mobile apps they've looked into have raised concerns with compatibility and site security.

In the meantime if the regular site isn't fun to view, you can use the "Archive" link at the bottom of every page, and access the whole forum in text only mode.

 

I also use Tapatalk and Proboards. Either of those would be great for Android and iPhone.

Jzen, have you used either of those here? I noticed most (all?) apps like this require the forum owners to enable support.
