This site has gone to crap
Regarding the search function, I frequent another forum using the vBulletin platform (version 3.7.0) that has an integrated Google Search that is so so so much better than the search function in the header. Is there any way to include such a thing into NAM? My other forum is privately maintained but functions much the same as NAM does--as a public forum with effectively non-restricted access.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
I usually use www.google.com to search this site, and just add the expression "site:www.northamericanmotoring.com" (without quotes) to the other search terms
That seems to work pretty well.

Charlie

The vendor fees on here are absolutely ridiculous....and on top of that there isn't even a vendor marketplace! Screw that. It's a huge turn-off to a prospective vendor and stifles innovation if the market is difficult to reach.
Coming from nasioc, i'm a bit disappointed. There are some good people on here, but it definitely has a feel that it is a shell of what it used to be.

I got an email from NAM a few months ago advertising a new radio product. I was very perplexed when I realized that said product could never fit in a MINI dash.... that is about the time I started loosing "faith" in this forum.
+1, but still useful.
My two cents
All good points, especially Dr Obnxs.
WE make this what it is. While NAM is a great resource it is a royal PITA to find anything. By the looks of it is not going to change. Why? Cause you and I put up with it.
Why not support MA and make it what NAM used to be. I never experienced NAM cause I'm one of those post 06' R56 newbies but I would really like that place. MA is operated by a passionate MINI owner, period. His greatest aspiration is to make some xtra cash to support a track day or two. Gotta respect that.
My only knock on MA is that mostly it is R53 'old timers' tired of NAM crap and the whining over which tuner is better than the other. As a result the R56 section is kinda sparse. I see it growing though
WE can make a MINI/Mini forum
PS I have no stake in MA's success only that I feel at home there. Not a speck in the crowd
