No More "Instant E-mail Notification"

It seems that ever since the latest system reset earlier this week, I am no longer getting any "instant e-mail notification" of threads to which I've posted (even though I've checked my profile and it's still checked). Yesterday, I tried using the "Contact Us" section but have received no response so far and am still not receiving any e-mail notification when new posts are made. When I look in various threads, I can see that new posts have been added. Please advise ASAP and let me know if there's a system glitch or if something has "crashed" somewhere leaving me out of the loop. Thanks for your help.

Don't know if anyone in charge is reading this (since I've had no confirmation), but I thought things were all straightened out as of this morning when I awoke to 14 "old" e-mail notifications of posts which had been made over the last several days (and finally just delivered to me). In fact, things are not fixed, as I have had no more "instant e-mail notifications" since then, and again, there are many new posts in my subscribed threads of which I have not been notified. What's up? Please help ASAP; it's getting frustrating.

You could check the headers of the emails to confirm if there's a delay on the sending side of NAM, or if there's a slowdown somewhere along the delivery path.

Thanks. There is a delay on the sending side of NAM, but I can't figure out why; and none of the Moderators have replied to my requests for help.

I'm having a similar problem. I won't get email updates for a day or two then get several days worth at once.

Yep, same here. Nothing more since the 14 at one time early yesterday morning; then all of a sudden just a few minutes ago, 16 all at once! Wassup???

Maybe the emailman only stops by NAM to pick up mail once a day?

Sorry folks, been very tied up lately.

Whatever the problem is, it's definitely beyond my control. I'll submit a ticket with Internet Brands to report the issue.

Just checking in - I still haven't heard back from IB on the status of this issue.

I doubt it is a NAM problem........as I have had no problems. It is more likely that your IP is queing your email and only delivering it at certain times.

Have you looked at the mail headers?

I'm not seeing any delays. Someone recently sent me a PM and within a minute the notification was in my Inbox. Now if I would only reply with same speed...

FWIW, I haven't had any problems since a couple of days after I posted in this thread.

If it was the IP, wouldn't it affect all our emails? I haven't had any problems with any email except for the NAM emails.

Thought I was "in the clear" as well (meaning I was getting all my NAM emails as soon as they came in) since a couple days after posting my last comment. However, last night I received six of them just minutes apart (roughly between 7:50-8:20PM) and all but one of them had been delayed. I had already read the posts earlier while just randomly browsing the site.

Still not quite sure what's going on.

Not necessarily.......they could be using a spam filter and it could be causing this. My isp had this problem some time back until their new program got a chance to be tweaked.

Those of you with the mail issues, is Gmail involved?

I'm having the same sort of issues and started looking at headers. I am getting a LOT of late mail somedays that at some time goes thru Gmail.

From the header, and I am only using the NAM one as an example

Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=neutral (google.com: 67.15.110.203 is neither permitted nor denied by best guess record for domain of namwebmaster@northamericanmotoring.com) smtp.mail=namwebmaster@northamericanmotoring.com

I am seeing the same issues from other senders. My mail is addressed to a freedenberg.net address and from there is reflected to my GMail address.
