Archiving PMs?

I got a system-generated e-mail last week letting me know that my PM box was at 90% capacity. The e-mail said that I needed to delete, or archive my messages to keep from going full.
Question: how does one go about archiving? I don't see any options for that in the PM area.

They go where ever you specify on YOUR PC.

You download them. The most basic is to download as text, they all end up as one large text file you can open in something such as Notepad.

CSV is Comma Separated Values, that would open in something like Excel. Very messy to deal with IMO.

XML is a Hypertext Markup Language that would be opened in a browser. Also quite messy looking.

Downloading does not clear them, you will still need to delete,
