Hi, My son and I, still sorta fresh from Minis on Top, are tagging along on my husband's business trip to the big woodworking trade show and will be in LV from 7/25 - 7/31. I briefly toyed with the idea of renting a Mini while out there (cause I'll miss mine), but the cost and the mileage cap (and the fact that my hubby's work will pay for a garden variety rental ) kinda nixed that.

I've got a long list already of stuff to do with my son, but I was wondering if some of the local Mini folks with kids might have some suggestions of cool things that might be a bit off the beaten path. I saw on the SCMC site that there was some event (forget right now) on 7/31, but no time was posted.

My son is actually turning 12 on the Friday we're there. He's a big 12 (taller than me already) and not much into "kiddie" things anymore. We're gonna do the Star Trek thing (we're staying at the Hilton) and take in the IMAX Fighter Pilot movie (my son's into jets), and see Penn & Teller. Hoover Dam, Red Rock, etc. (which is when I'll miss my Mini the most).

Anyhow, looking forward to tagging all the LV Minis I see.
