Anyone interested in doing the "Joey Mod"?
Brendan you can get body-matching paint at minspeed.net for about $20 + shipping.
I have one roll of tape and one can of grey plastic paint. If that's enough to go around I have no problem sharing.

I've had 3 sets in the oven with no problem.
Really don't need much room either. You just need a super clean place to put your bulbs–I used a kitchen towel. All the other parts can sit on the seat of the car. Then its just painting room.

What day are we doing this? Should we start it early Thursday morning? I had planned on a bunch of the drives.
I say we give it a shot at palace station using a heat gun and boxes to spray in/dry in. Once you know how they come out/apart its easy.

Then I can use yours as the demonstrator set for anyone else who gets there in time.I'm staying at TI so super early is out but I plan on the Mt Charleston run so maybe 9 ish? at the latest. That way I can have the one set basically done start to finish and can help anyone else out in the wait time.
Just to be clear...when I say I'm working I mean at AMVIV...we're the host club so Agro and I will be there almost non-stop through the event. We'll both have rooms there as well so we can take them up to the room for relatively clean.
9ish is fine for me. I made sure I'm not on the schedule that AM. However...Lyle (Vinyl Styles) is bringing wrapped rings so I guess I should make sure he's gonna be there or I'll ahve to take the lights off again

Cool.
The rings are a snap to put on if he isn't there you'll have the originals in hand when he shows.
Agros are going to be the ***** ones. I hope I'm an honorary SCMC member by the time this is done

Ok so SunDevil is doing his
Agro and SinMini are working the event and I'm doing theirs (well trying like hell on agros)
Duck is working on thursday but is willing to leave his keys so his can get done. I'm calling my limit on these at the 3.
I am thinking of doing a video how-to in advance of this to show the removal/disassembly. That would only leave prep/paint out of it. Then anyone who wants can save me some work on my vacation. I'll shoot it this weekend and post a link here.

I had another question. Say it rains (which it does occasionally here), will there be any issues with getting moisture into the housing causing fogging? I want to avoid that as much as possible, but not sure if it's inevitable or not.
The headlights are technically open all the time. When you look at the video I will be posting later (just got my video camera yesterday) You'll see the vents.
