I will have the fixings for gin and tonics or bahama mamas. And snapple if you don't drink. We should get there early enough to take a dip and a cocktail maybe even dinner before the others arrive in town.Remember your swim suits! Do I have Shasta Brain?????See you all thursday evening with a new roof. Lisa
Who has the new roof.?? YOU, or Rainbow Blue?
If I didn't have to bring the Walking Stick, I might bring my digital Camera too!...

I am hurting pretty bad, but will be hitching a ride to CC with renomojo! (Ace bandages, and walking stick...injury is NOT healing quickly at all!!!)

Success!
Group bonding was accomplished in fine fashion. Folks from Lake Tahoe, Reno, Carson City, and Genoa got together for dinner and “libations” at Bully’s in Carson City. We got to meet our new friend from Genoa and gawk at his JCW MINI as well as admire the first Checkmate MINI in our group.
I have posted 3 pictures from the gathering in my Gallery for those who might be interested. Note Rainbow Blue’s new roof graphic. She is rightfully proud of the design (since she designed it).
Next stop is the Shasta Run starting tomorrow morning.

Until next time! Sorry I will not make it to Shasta! Have fun all!

Group bonding was fun! It was great to meet everyone and check out the cars. Now, I'm racking my brain for a personalized plate idea. You've all got some great plates.
So, hopefully we can get together in a couple weeks for another bonding session. Next time, I'll try to gather more Reno MINIs...I'm thinking I can get about 6!
I'm also going to check into a possible group rate for Sierra Nevada MINIS to go to the track in Fernley. I'll let you all know about that ASAP.
Happy motoring!

wow. Forgot they had a track in Fernley. My grandma lives not to far over in Fallon. Some relatives in Carson/Sparks area too. Maybe I'll try to get to that meet if it happens. That would be cool to get some track time, would be the first time for me.
Yet another exciting bonding session
It seems like it's about time for another group bonding session...especially since someone in the group has some new goods to show off!
So, let's pick a day....How does Sunday July 9th work? Is that a weird meeting day?
It just seems like everyone has so much going on during the week that a Sunday meeting might be our best bet.
If that day works, let's plan on meeting at Bully's at Meadow Wood Mall around 6 PM.
Feedback...

Yes July 9 at 6pm Bully's Reno is fine I'll be there. I can visit my daughter while I'm up in Reno. I mailed out letters with newsletters, fliers and a run map of markleeville run and raffle tickets too. I hope they get delivered. I am very worried. Oh well, can't help it now. I've sold 6 tickets so far. The car detailing products are coming in too!!!!!!Cool. I did 1122 miles on the shasta run. Read all the posts and photos too. It was way cool. Next year............See you this sunday. Lisa Are you going to Alameda USS Hornet July 16th?????? We need rsvp's soon.

An early congrats to you too!!! I really liked the Cabrio as well and it was a tough choice, but since it is a second (garage toy) vehicle for me, so I chose the 2004 S coupe over a Normal 2005 Cabrio
Actually I would have saved a bundle if I had sold my 2003 mini myself, but I did not want risk losing this newer coupe (also excellent condition),,,,as it surely would have been gone if I did not move quickly! 2004 S with new 17" Goodyear runflats, 18,500 confirmed mi, Harmon Kardon stereo (my hobby...and my after marketr cd chgr fit it as well), sunroof, 2 tone full heated leather sport seats, Xenon headlamps, fog lamps (fr andf rear) climate control, rain activated wipers, auto diming mirror, DSC, sports leather steering wheel with Cruise and radio control + who knows what else!!!!1 set rubber and 1 set carpet oem floormats.....it was the condition that p[ushed me ovber the edghe
Good luck with your sale...and....ARE YOU COMING SUN NIGHT???
regards
jeff
carsonites meet
Bully's around 5:20 or 5:30 should be good. We have suprise relatives from South Dakota visiting here. Ted Staikoff is in the senior league of bowlers. We only see him and his wife once a year or so and theyr'e the only relatives of Bob's still around. If I'm not at Bully's Carson City by 5:30 go on without me as I will be home with others.Washing the mini today.I will bring gifts tonight if I come. Lisa
sympathy for a fellow mini owner
Yes I agree Jeff it is cool to see that many minis parked together but what is REALLY awsome is seeing even more minis driving down the highway together!!!!!!!!!!! Smiles from everyone!!!!!!I called Linda to see about the Alameda run ( we need 2 more people to go ) and she totaled her british green mini 3 weeks ago on hwy 395 in Carson due to an idiot driver not paying attention. Her airbags went off and she was not hurt but oh so sad she is. Her and Jim are looking for a british green s if anyone knows of one closer than Oregon. The mini was totaled. I may have nightmares tonight. I may go sleep out in the garage or atleast go dust it off and cover it up.My condolences go out to Linda. She and Jim went to 7 enterprises with us. If anyone has photos of her mini please contact me.British green one from S.N.M.C..Looking forward to Alameda,Lisa
my biggest fear
I feel so bad for Linda...that's my biggest fear, having someone crash into my MINI, because I don't think I can replace mine. I'd be oh so sad
I like Jeff's idea about an air horn. Actually don't they make horns that sound like 18-wheeler horns? That would be pretty funny coming from a little MINI!
It was great seeing everyone and especially some new additions! The cards work!
Sorry I had to jet so soon, my guy Chris had to get to work at 8 PM, but he really has fallen in love with MINIs and wanted to come see them all.
Hope you all have fun on the run down to Alameda.
Happy Motoring!
