I am selling my 2006 GP #0717. I overextended myself a bit when I bought her, and now I found out how much my rotator cuff surgery is going to cost me (even with insurance, deductibles and co-pays add up fast I guess.) I can probably swing it, but I hate being worried about money.
This is a very, very clean "driver." It is not a garage queen, and it was my intention to drive the wheels off of her. In the short time I have had the GP I have had a new headliner installed, all the door dings removed, polished it, replaced odds and ends like the front and rear MINI wings, installed a new stereo head unit, installed M7 shock tower plates (there was no sign of mushrooming), had fresh window tint installed, installed fresh down tubes etc. I have both a GP car cover and a standard outside cover. Anything I removed is included in the sale - cup holder, head unit, long antenna.
The car drives perfectly and the engine and supercharger work as they should and the car pulls hard and idles smoothly.
The car has a clean CarFax that I will provide upon request.
I have a number of threads in the GP section with additional pictures and information. This is my first one: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-a-gp-and.html
My price is firm and represents what I paid plus what I put into it.

I am located on the East Coast of Florida. Aside from the strut tower plates, the stereo head unit and the stubby antenna it is stock.

I still am not sure why he didn't want to send it out of state, but it worked out for me.

You'll be the first to know! I really don't intend to part ways with it if I can avoid it. I just hate taking loans out to pay for toys, but it looks like my refund will be here shortly. Depending on the federal government of course

But glad it worked out for you. You really seem to love it and in all honesty, Im glad it found a good home.
But if you ever do decide to part with it I'm here for you!

Unfortunately I am going to have to get serious about selling 0717.
This is a very, very clean daily driver. No dents or dings, new headliner, stereo, odds and ends. Only flaw is the hood needs a respray - some weather checking from the sun here in the Sunshine State. Wheels have some peeling clear coat but no curb rash or damage. Regular oil changes and a clean CarFax with a number of service records, I have my service records and a few from the previous owner. I run Mobil 1 Euro formula oil.
Just had a new Bosche alternator installed along with a new gel type battery. I had the supercharger oil changed at that time Drilled and slotted Zimmerman front rotors and drilled rear rotors along with new Akebono brake pads installed less than 500 miles ago. Brake fluid flushed.
Any changes are reversible and the original stereo, shift **** and "stinger"antenna are included. I will also include a Schwaben scan tool. The original Mini "odds and ends" are included - kids games, trading cards etc. as is the owner manual, JCW authenticity/registration card and the sales brochure for the GP.
I am happy to take pictures for anyone interested, but a trip to the GP section will present multiple threads of mine with a bit of history since I have had the car and plenty of pictures.
I am asking $10,200 and will entertain offers. I would rather sell it here to someone in the group than put it on BaT.

Hmm... I thought there'd be at least some interest - especially at the price. Going to put it on BaT at the end of the week. Still prefer to sell to someone here.

Bad timing for me on the financial front,
otherwise I'd be all over it for sure.
Good luck with BaT --- it should serve you well going by past indicators of prices paid for the GP1.
If you do end up going the BaT route --- could you possibly report back about the sellers experience with them?
That'd be interesting.
otherwise I'd be all over it for sure.

A lot of the work was done by the previous owner and I didn't have the receipts for it.
Sure with a GP they would look the other way on a lot of it as long as the title is clean, which it is!
100% that is the route to go. You'll probably pull around 12k on there.

As long as you have a good amount documented. That was the problem when I tried to get my heavily modded '04 JCW on BAT.

Here, I'll sell it if someone makes an offer, but if not I can keep driving it around feeling like I am being mature because it is legitimately for sale!

Either you are selling or you aren't. Make up your mind. I'd never attempt to buy it from you because I can see going through all the motions only to have you back out.
#24
First of all, I suspect you were not planning on attempting to buy it from me in any case. If true, you're just stirring up trouble for no reason.
Second, I think you must have missed this: "I'll sell it if someone makes an offer." If someone here makes me a bonafide offer I'd sell it without hesitation. Both because I am a man of my word and because I really do need to sell it. Selling via BaT costs resources. That is a different kind of commitment which has nothing to do with actually following through on a sale.

Yes I am a serious person. I take that as a complement - thanks!
I'd consider buying the car if I was closer, Too far away for me to buy a car.
First post in your thread "Before I get started: I reserve the right to change my mind any time before cash changes hands. I am already having second thoughts... I may just postpone my shoulder until my tax refund arrives. But who knows when that will be...?"
Over and out.
