Immaculate, fully loaded 2006 John Cooper Works Mini with rare options. The color and options are just perfect - we get compliments all the time along the lines of "this is the best looking mini I've ever seen".
'06 was the first year the JCW kit was installed by the factory. Custom ordered, delivered May 2006 with a $36k window sticker,. Car is extremely well equipped, kept in climate controlled garage and never driven in winter. Dealer serviced. I am the original and only owner.
Space Blue with Silver roof
English Panther leather (dark grey w/ grey piping)
Piano black dash
17" R98 silver wheels
Factory installed JCW kit (head, exhaust, brakes, airbox, SC, pulley)
JCW front sway bar
LSD
Chrome line interior
Convenience, Premium, Sport and Cold Weather Packages
Cockpit Chrono Package (dual gauge pod and 3 gauge center)
Harman Kardon premium stereo with in dash CD
Center armrest
Panorama sunroof (two large glass panels, only front opens)
Tires replaced with OEM run flats, about 5k miles on them
All paperwork including window sticker and JCW certificate included
We also have a $400 parrot bluetooth system with MFSW controls available (i.e., not included). We bought it last year from Mike at newministuff in the UK. Receipt and docs available for this too.
Looking for a good home as we just purchased an M3 and are out of garage space :-)
Pic of car last fall when it went into storage (under OEM mini cover, climate controlled)

OEM bluetooth retrofit done; price adjusted to $18,800 firm; reposted
Space Blue and Piano Black for the R53 were only offered in '06. you can get piano black now but it's not the same. you can't get space blue.
The factory supercharged JCW was a $6,300 option. It screams. the sound is absolutely marvelous. You can get plenty of JCWs now but they're not supercharged. They are not the same.
The english panther leather was a $1,700 option. It looks beautiful and is absolutely wonderful to sit in. Seats are perfect (see pics below).
Price quoted is firm given car's rarity and outstanding condition. See below for plenty more pics, as well as the link on the first post.
car as delivered at the dealer May '06 (for comparison)
car at a local bmw event last fall
Pics from fall 2012. Click to enlarge. You can see the condition of the paint and exhaust. More pics have been added to posts below now that car is out of storage.

engine compartment - pristine, with JCW strut bar and serial number plate
same for the undercarriage. even the exhaust bolts are rust free, and this is a 7 year old car

detail showing exhaust tips, paint
gauge pak above steering wheel
current mileage
brand new bmw battery (oct 2012 replacement)
R98 17" wheel details - also take a look at the exterior pics that follow. i forgot one of them but it's pristine except for a small clearcoat chip. 2 wheels have enough road rash on them to merit refinishing. I have a quote for this but have not done it yet (about $125 to $140 a wheel). other than some luggage compartment scuff marks and some off paint chips, that's really the only thing left on the car that's not perfect

car has several choice bits from the 2006 mini accessories catalog ("You-ification handbook") including arm rest, pedal covers and mini floor mats
front dash with cockpit chrono package and piano black trim
It's very cool to see the oil pressure change with throttle and as the engine warms up.
english panther leather (very soft charcoal grey leather with light grey piping). We didn't like the JCW door sills and shifter, so we kept the leather wrapped shifter and cooper S sills.
<sidebar>We use the parrot setup including an mfsw control box for handsfree phone use and music streaming. with this console you could put an iphone snap-in from bmw in if you're into that sort of thing and can figure out how to get a BMW iBus ULF working (somebody must have figured it out). R56 switched to MOST so that won't work.
UPDATE: see further below. The Parrot is no longer available. I found and retrofitted the $1250 OEM Universal Handsfree kit with BMW ULF module and phone cradle. It works well.

No accidents
No rust
NEVER been on salt or snow
ALWAYS garaged, climate controlled year round (a/c and heat)
And here's some additional info for folks to consider. I've heard from a few folks about Mk1 Mini's having water pump leaks. That was found on our car at 28k miles and repaired by the dealer. Don't even get me started on the labor bill. But this car has been our pride and joy. I turn my own wrenches on other BMWs but not the mini.

Yes of course. I'm am absolute fanatic about my cars. Retrofitting full nav and OEM bluetooth in my M3 right now actually..
I haven't put a lift in my garage yet, otherwise I would have been very tempted to the water pump and oil pan gasket myself. Done plenty of engine rebuilds, electrical, full A/C conversions... the damn labor bill would have paid for half of it :-) In the end my wife insisted and I have that nice repair bill document to prove how dedicated we are...

Here's the full 2nd page of the service doc. the totals section was empty so I cropped it out. you can see the total in the previous post. Note we also replaced one of the ball joints and did a full 4 wheel alignment.
Like I said, the car is VERY well maintained. In the end you should do your own PPI though - I did with the M3 I just picked up.

Someone PMd me about upcoming scheduled maintenance. We did the major inspection at 28k miles as you can see from the posts above. The coolant was replaced along with the water pump at that time. Another oil change will be done shortly after the car's back from storage. I will probably have the brake fluid replaced at the same time.
After that the next major inspection is at 55k miles or so iirc. We've only been putting 3-5k miles a year on the car, so that's at least 5 years away for us :-)
Definitely cool to have a low mile mini.

Interested in your Mini ...
Hi Bradnic, Looking for a beautiful 2006 JCW Mini ... and yours is certainly a wonderful example! Can you please email me [larrystalley@yahoo.com] and provide me with a clear list of options on the car and your phone number so we can talk, please? Does the car have the sport's package, the winter package, the convenience package, the complete JCW kit installed by the factory, and so forth??? If you can include your phone number then I can call you and we can talk. Thank you! Larry

It's a 6 speed manual thank goodness :-)
EDIT: pretty sure JCW wasn't available in auto in.'06. Someone more knowledgable can confirm

All
I have pulled the car from sale for a while. after getting it out of storage and seeing the condition of the undercarriage I just couldn't bring myself to sell. May take another crack at it later this summer as I still have too many cars. we'll see.
Here are some pics so you can see what I'm talking about. It's basically brand new underneath - even the exhaust bolts are clean.
In the meantime I'm going to retrofit the OEM bluetooth package and install a bmw phone eject box and iphone snap-in in the console.
Almost done with the same project on my E46 M3 and the equipment is basically identical. The cradle and snap-in can also be modded to support charging and music streaming.
I have a separate thread on that which I'll keep updated as I make progress.
UPDATE: OEM universal handsfree retrofit completed. install went perfectly, no issues or damage of any kind. works perfectly with 2 different iPhones, a 4S and a 5.

Back on the market
I completed the OEM universal handsfree bluetooth retrofit, a $1250 option on these cars (check sig for project link). It works perfectly.
The car has 33,560 miles on it right now, and is for sale at $18,800. Please see prior posts for detailed pics and service history. I have replied to several PMs from people that have expressed interest.
