Thanks Tuls for the tip They've raised the price $8 since my purchase but still a steal at $168 + $28 shipping...and it got here from Taiwan in less than a week:smile: Back to the garage...
Yea, yea, .... it's all about you .... isn't it.

Sid, you asked on another thread, but I'll answer here.
I took your above advise and am just now sobering up. What day is it anyway

Naaaa, not really. But, I did get a phone message from Grant with some thoughts, but I already tried those before. I haven't even looked at the car since my last post here as I was just too bummed to deal with it. I'll get back to Grant today and see what can be done, but for sure the braces will need to be re-designed by being shortened and to have the bends slightly altered.

That's a bummer I ran into a small SNAFU too. The purge parts are here but (through no ones fault) the threads are different on the some of the fittings so I had to redesign the routing and order a couple more lines from Peter. Oh well...it's -10 F outside anyway Got the "S" wing off last night. Will mount the CF wing on as soon as I get some detailing done on it

Ahh....things are coming together. The CF wing is on as well as the dual N2O solenoid setup. I'm still waiting on the revised hoses to operate both but in the meantime, I've moved the feed hose from one solenoid to another and verified their operation. Using the conservative "red" nozzle for the first time today...YES! Didn't need a good butt dyno (or real dyno) for anyone inside or outside the Mini to notice a significant increase in forward momentum! I removed my Unichip as a precaution...not sure it's aggressive timing is condusive to the new N2O diet. It's still relatively cold today at 32 F so I ran very short test runs from 50 to 100mph as to not freeze up the solenoid (waiting for the bottle warmer to show). I know I'm not any where near the optimum 900psi recommended (more like 400psi at this temperature...waiting for the psi gauge too) but the increase in acceleration is still impressive to say the least. Feels more so than the sum of all the mods I've installed thus far. I know...I hear ya Peter..."go for the black" I'm working my way up as the temperature (and my understanding) increases

After parking the Mini and giving her a sponge bath, I moved the feeder line to the purge solenoid that is connected to the the Alta spray head. It functions beautifully as a cryo unit for the IC...pssssss... pssssssssssssooooooohh...very loud blow offs I might look into a proper cryo spray coil next If all goes well in the next few month, I will try out the two solenoids to effect a two stage N2O system

I know...this pales in comparison to "Some like it Hot"

No gas...this is a dry system. The second solenoid is for the line purge which doubles as a IC cryo unit...or the second stage nozzle output. Hmmm...or I could use three solenoids and get a two stage and a purge

We ended up NOT using the secret ingredient. We believe we have figured out what is holding us back from 300whp.... I would expect an assault on it in 3 weeks or so.... basing calculations on the amount of boost my car will run we should hit the 325whp area once this problem is fixed. We ran that type of boost but had to shut it down because.... .if I tell anymore maybe the competition might figure it out on the way to 300whp.....LOL
I made 281whp on 20lbs of boost....

all is fair in love and war

MSFITOY,

Can you help out a Newb' who's only starting to turn his attention to his MCS. I'd like to reproduce your mounting solution for the M7 Oil catch can and the driving lights. Can you shed some light (pun intended here) on sourcing brackets? TIA....

Of course

The bracket for the lower lamps are sourced from Mcmastercarr.com. I'll have to look it up. They have many, many styles and sizes so you'll need to choose the one that is appropriate for your lamp dimensions. Mine is approximately 3" x 3", load bearing, polished stainless steel and is perfect for the PIAA 540.

The upper lamps are mounted on OEM brackets that you can find from various sources including your dealer.

The OCC bracket is hand made from scrap aluminum stock... though I could've save my self the work by spending a few bucks at Mcmaster. They carry tons of parts. Peter was planning on including my alternate install instruction in his OCC kits (you can ask him when ordering). If you insist on installing it where I did, I can walk you through it once you get the part from M7. PM me with your phone number and I'll call you.

Sid

When did you receive the occ?
We always include the directions etc, unless you purchased the product more
then a month ago...then you got the standard hookup instructions.

You can always call me and I will send out the instructions.

Hi Peter,

I did get the standard two page diagram. Sid and I were talking about his specific install application.

Regards,

Jim

Not what the Alta liquid spray head was designed for but it seems to work. Probably would get more efficient results from a DEI cryo spray head but I hate to have to cut into the air diverter.
