Hi VincePrince!

Congrats on all of you progress and thanks for the pix.

Here is a thorough tranny application guide that details the exact type and quantity of fluid needed. Any questions, please let us know!

Behold my clutch alignment tool:

LOL. 10mm deep socket + electrical tape. Lined up perfectly.

New clutch is in and gearbox is buttoned up. The rig I used helped greatly with lining everything up.

Started putting everything back together and replacing a lot of stuff while the nose was off - oil feed lines, oil filter housing gasket, that stupid plastic water line between the pump and thermostat, downpipe gaskets, and other things.

Nose going in next.

Well dang... don't you just hate it when this happens? I just finished putting everything back together and I'm left with these and I already forgot where they go. LOL!

There's a pair on that goes on each side. From how I organized everything when I took the car apart, these go to the body or trim somewhere. Any ideas?

And.... DONE!

I approve of this project. Lol!

Just took it out for a spin... shifts like butter now.

Back in the garage, coolant refilled and a/c charged.

Was a very labor intensive job but highly recommend to DIY to get to know your car better. It looked difficult but very straight forward.

Thanks to everyone's help and input to make this job a success!

Happy New Year, Vince! I am up the hill a bit from you, in Aguanga. Love my 2011 MCS. Maybe we could go for a cruise sometime up here on my twisty mountain roads! The roads here are the reason I bought a MINI! My wife loved my car so much that we just bought her a 2013 R57 Justa. She loves it!

Sooooo.... the R56 is gone. Lol. Stalker code 2885 has reared its ugly head and didn't want to deal with that issue. Thanks for letting me part of this awesome community! I'll try to help out as much as I can. Love working with the R56!

I have parts lying around... not sure the value of these things though. LOL

OEM Airbox with filter, hood heat shield(?), scoop grille, extra oil feed line

OEM Courtesy Lights

OEM Fogs

And I also have the OEM exhaust.

Sell them?

May not have the Mini but can't seem to get away from working on them!

One of the CEO's of our company took notice and asked if I can work on his mellow yellow. It comes with a JCW tuning kit and a whole lot of chrome. I hate chrome. LOL

After going through his shopping list, started tearing it apart and he would always come by to drop off new parts.

Few engine mods like bigger intercooler, alta hot pipe, AEM CAI, WMW DV, and Sprintbooster went in.

Alta rear sway bar and AEM front sway bar also went in

New brakes went in and he wanted the calipers painted yellow. YELLOW. Oh well, his car... lol

And of course went with dual racing stripes, plastidipped all that nasty chrome, and installed all that checkered stuff he could find for the car. LMAO

Here are the before and after shots

Absolutely love working on these kit cars. Will try to be around to help out with the community. If you're in the SoCal area and need help with something let me know!

Here's to the 2nd R56 I got my hands on! LOL
