Wheels! I need ideas

I am in need of new wheels. I have the stock R90s that came with the car. They are pretty nice, but, I want new ones because the previoud owner curb rashed them pretty bad. And, no don't really like the size.
The perfect size in my opinion is 17x8 4x100 et30 other similar sizes are okay, I guess.
That size fits the MCS PERFECT.
So please, let me know any wheels you like on the MCS.

I have a jet black 2003 Mini Cooper S completely stock

So over done though, MINIs are fun to personalize.

I was looking at the 17x7.5 et40 wheels.

I think that 17x7.5 et40 is pretty close to OEM and I should have no problem with clearance. I was looking at the XXR 527 on nlmotoring.com and they are pretty cheap. I've seen a lot of Minis with XXR 527s, but they have the 17x8.25 et25 on the rear. Pretty aggressive fitment.
However, I don't want that.

Xxr are a bargain wheel for sure, keep in the mind the quality won't be anywhere near your oem r90s.

I like the Enkei PF 01 wheels in Black.

Check with Tire Rack on your fitment using 8" wide and your offset.

I saw those. They look pretty cool. I was more interested in OZ wheels. However, they are out of my budget for now.

Someone reminded me that OEM wheels are really good quality and it would be dumb to buy lower quality wheels.
I think I'm going to save up more money to buy some OZ or something.

If you want to keep the OEM wheels you can check on the cost of repainting them with a wheel repair shop, it's not that expensive and will look new.

Budget wheels usually will be heavy.

Wider than OEM wheels will usually be heavy.

Also consider which tire size you would use with a 17x8". You're looking at tire sizes from 215 to 245mm wide.

It costs around $100 to repair each wheel. 245mm wide is for 9inch wheels man.
Yeah. Are oz really good quality?

235/40-17 fit rims 8-9.5" wide, perfect for 8.5" wide rims, 24.3" tire diam.
245/40-17 fit rims 8-9.5" wide, perfect for 8.5" wide rims, 24.7" tire diam.
245/35-17 fit rims 8-9.5" wide, perfect for 8.5" wide rims, 23.8" tire diam.

All of these sizes will work with a 17x8" rim.

OZ is a good wheel company, decent quality, better than average looks, OK on weight but not the lightest, usually costs more.

Enkei Racing is also pretty good with some models being light weight, but only come in 17x7" not wider for 4x100 bolt pattern.

I've had some luck refinishing two piece wheels, depending on the damage it's possible you can fix them.
