I've just been looking through the forums for information on what options I have regarding tire sizes.

Right now I have the stock 16" V-spoke rims, and I'm thinking about replacing the runflats with standard tires. The current tires are 195/55, but I don't know what other sizes will safely fit on my rims. I looked on Tirerack's site but didn't find anything to answer that question.

I found some info on a recent thread started by Kilo; I'm sure I'm not the only one who will ever have this question. Could you post an informational sticky about what size tires will work with each of the stock rims?

The most common replacement size for 16" wheels is 205/50-16:

I made kilo's thread a sticky for now. See if you can add to it so that it addresses concerns that people in the market for replacement tires might have.

Although some tire sizes might be a common choice, there are options depending on what your needs might be. Besides the stock size 195/55-16 there is 205/50-16 or for autocross even 215/45-16.

For each size there is a different selection of tires plus you have to see if that tire will fit the rim you have, if the load rating is OK for the MINI, and if the outer diameter is close enough (+/- 3%) to stock (you don't want to let it get too small or too large).
