Dimsport remote Tuning.
Look what I found in my office when I got back from AMVIV
. And no I don't work for Jan. He can't pay me enough yet
. I help him out on the shipping side of things as a friend.
RMW now has the ability to do remote tuning!! Yes, that means he can dyno tune a car any where in the world via the Internet. You will have to ask Jan what the cost is and I bet it won't be $350 but it sure will give a lot of people the chance to finally get one of his tunes.
Oh Ya, he also has the ability to emulate now

Does this mean he can tune cars in Santa's gift shop in the North pole while sitting on the beach sipping on margaritas?? OMG??

possibly, but I don't think that's the intent.
I'll be first in line to do some more work on mine with this as soon as we sort out a few issues and also find a proper local dyno to work on (only one I know of is TurboXS and they won't let me on)

of course, but the issue is the dyno. Jan wants a DynaPak. If you know of one within an hour or two, please, let me know.
Jan uses flash tuning (Download the car's eprom, tweak it, and upload it to the ECU again before running the car on the dyno). I'm not aware of any company with the capability to tune the R53 (or R56 for that matter) on the dyno in real-time at this point in time.
Like others said, I don't think Jan envisioned selling "Canned" tunes like MTH and the like with this device, more than likely it's simply to facilitate dyno tuning remotely by having people run their car, send him the sheet, and allowing him to make some changes to the car afterwards.
It's possible he may have canned tunes planned though, he's the person to ask on that one

Emulation tuning allows the tuner to adjust values in realtime while the car is running on the dyno. This allows for much quicker tuning.

No "Canned" tunes is correct. It isn't going to happen.

When speaking to Jan the other day he said the procedure would go something like this. You go find a dyno in your area, run your car up and send the info by E-mail or fax. Jan then works his magic, sends you back the new tune which is then uploaded to the ECU and presto you've got lift off.
it's really strange for someone who "doesn't have factory support" to get to buy more equipment directly from the factory.... we now have capability for most european cars all the way to Ferrari etc
strange..... I know
so much for the "haters"
So Jan, how much is this kit? And whoever buys this kit would have to pay extra for the tuning too? Also, for remote people like me, would I have to send you my ECU for the first time? Or could you do the base tune and later tunes remotely too?
. I am going to try and call you today, hope that is ok.
