Yes, ported flange will cause no issues with standard opening and you'll be set for future ported heads...
It would be a good idea to get new gasket but not necessary...along with new header bolts...gasket = $16, bolts = $20? My bolts never got to me in time so I reused the bolts...
Then again, I've also reused gaskets in the past without problems...
Somebody should just follow you around and buy the parts you take off, they'd have a nice car on the cheap. And you don't have the money to do a track day ... lol.

Well truth be told...I have an incredible wife but she does have her limits...she will not put up with me crying like a baby if/when I bend up Msfitoy at the track...and you guys all know that every track car will eventually gets to know the wall up close...
