Twisties around Cincy

If anyone here is addicted to twisty roads like I am & likes to get out on a weekly basis, let me know. I've got a small group that usually runs on Saturday mornings (early) & we usually run out of the Waffle House in Wilder, KY off AA Hwy. Good group that likes a "spirited drive" on a regular basis. If I'm not out in the MCS, I'm out on my bike on the same roads. Some people like to golf, I don't. Check out our group if you are interested...

There are some fantastic twisties in and around Cincy. My daily commute takes me through Hamilton and Clermont Counties, and on most days, I'm enjoying twisties. As for Casa Wafle, PM me with the directions from 471.

Hey draggon, I saw you at the April 9th autocross at Scarlet I believe. Are you coming to the one on the 30th? I hope to see you there again.

I remember some great roads in the Cinci area. Especially around the Ft. Ancient area, north of Kings Island. Has warning signs for trucks to stay away. We used to ride it on the Harley, but haven't been on the road since we got the Mini. Sort of a loooong way away from our new home.
We miss the area.

How's the weather down there Kseckel? I want to take a trip down to Miami....but vacations are just to expensive these days. Going from Cincinnati to Miami has got to be a HUGE change, lol!

Weather is been pretty good lately (see me in July ). We could sure use some rain though. We've only had 3/4" of rain since 3/1. Some serious fire potential here. It did rain on me over at Disney when I was getting off to go home. Of course it didn't follow me west.
I actually live about 8 miles from Disney. The 'Miami' in MiamiMini's name comes from my university, THE Miami University. Not the make believe one down here, that was named after the original.
We've driven twice back north in her. Both times for daughters weddings. Was a wonderful trip both times. One wedding was in May so we came back through the Smokies so I could see 'real' trees. Not the PP's as I call them, Palms and Pines.

Go MU Skins, never a 'Hawk'.

Sweet! As of right now I should be able to come out. I'm going to *try* to get off work on every autocross day! Problem is, I'll have to get the waiver signed...but I'll let you know. It's gotta be fun feeling the G's!

That's why I need to get out this weekend. Got to get my mind off the fact that I can't make it to the Dragon. Have a blast for me!

5-6-06 no good for me. Kids have soccer game then me and the missus are attending a wedding in the post-noon. May is my favorite month in Cincy, too bad my schedule is so damned full. Will try to make the Sunday date for Randy's pulley party. I was at the first, now maybe the last.

Well, I would love to....but the problem is nobody else will come, since there are only a handful of people who actually read the forums.

Anyway, let's get a list of people interested and a location going. Any Sunday is fine with me, hell....we might even be able to do every other Sunday or something if there is enough interest.

I think we need some help from Beth @ Cinci MINI's to tell some other people. I would be glad to host, but Beth has contact with all of the "other" people who are not on NAM.

-Cody

Edit* I sent PM's out to everyone around Cinci that I know of that is on the forums here.

I could do any day as long as I'm off. I work a rotating shift so if you guys plan a day I will come as long as I'm off. Sounds like fun.

Thanks for keeping at this Cody. I just set up a Yahoo Mailing list up for the group. Get on out & join up! These lists help groups communicate better via email so that you don't have to keep checking a forum for events. Any one person can email the whole group & you can reply to a topic via email without going out to Yahoo.
