2007 MINIUSA Contingency Program continues!!!

Well, it appears that its un-changed at first glance. Same payouts, same minimum car requirements, no restrictions on model/year, no class restrictions etc.....

Anyway, I just received the email today from Mini USA, so, I am relieved that they are continuing it for yet another year.

Would you mind posting the program details? This is my first year doing SCCA and some national tour events (considering a trip to Topeka too).

Thanks!

Dave

No problem, it looks something like this

----Divisional Championship -------- National Tour------ Prosolo------ Year End Class Champion (Topeka)
1st --$200---------------------------$500--------------$500------------------$2000
2nd --$100---------------------------$250-------- -----$250----------------- $1000
3rd ---$75--------------------------- $100-------- -----$100 ----------------- $500

Also, there is a minimum # of competitors to pay 1st/2nd/3rd, its 5+ for first place, 8+ competitors for 2nd place payout and 10+ competitors for 3rd place payout.

Mini Canada does not have a program like this yet. Do you have any contact info in Mini USA, where I can ask them about their counterparts in Canada to start one?

Thanks.

Yes, its Susan.Lee@MiniUSA.com

Please post here if they do start a program up there, I might have to make a road trip if so, I'd love to visit Canada and potentially get paid. lol

I wish I would have been following this last year. I could have had $400 already for my divisional wins.

Awards PDF link

I know Soloracer.com use to have a contingency magnetics kit. I guess I'll have to get something similar made up in short order.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Dave

I think Soloracer.com still does the contingency magnets.

Oh, I updated my payout list, i forgot to put Divisional "Championship", they use to payout $500 per divisional, but, they ended that last season. Now THAT was some serious support for us Mini owners.

So Dave and OasisT, these are for the SCCA Autocrosses, not for the BMWCCA stuff right?

And Dave, if you have time before the AutoX season starts, I would love to bend you ear a bit and ask some questions about the SCCA or NASA AutoX. If you have the time...

The contingency does not apply to our local BMWCCA autocross events.
