Hi, I have an 05 MC and started Auto X last summer and I am Hooked !! I ran last year on stock Runflats 16" R83 Wheels and what to buy wheels and tires for this year. I was thinking about looking for another set of R83's and a set of tires I can drive to the track about 100 miles roundtrip. I am in HS and what to stay in that class. Also, tire size ? Thanks.

 

the two streetable tires that pretty much everyone uses for GS/HS are the Hankook ventus rs2 and falken azienis sports (though I think thay have a new version of them out), for wheels use a spare set of stockers or Rota slipstreams seem to be the cheap/lightweight way to go (get them in MC/MCS dimensions from 18racing.com, you have to call them and ask). if your looking for fun these will be fine, but running HS and being competetive will require r-compounds which most people run Kuhmos or hoosiers. tire sizes are in the 205-215 range depending on you aspect ratio, but thats about as far as you can go on a 6.5"rim from what I've seen

 

Thanks Greg, As, far as tire size, that is were I get confused 205/40/16 ? 215 45/16 ? How much does height and width matter?
