Just saying...most of the fast guys nationally changed to studs for easier tire changing. It may be listed in SP but its there in black and white for stock class.

If you protest someone it will be a waste of $$$. And you'll get labeled a weenie for life. lol...protesting for swapping to studs is silly

I guess it's to beat the newer version of the RS3.

I'm on R1R's right now (Miata). Came off of ZII's.

FYI: I did write to the SEB to get clarification the stud to lug rule - here is the main point:

Technically, bolts and studs are both fasteners. The 9th paragraph at the beginning of Section13 (page 69) allows replacement of similar items. Wheel lug studs perform the same function as wheel lug bolts. Also, 13.2.A allows for convenience items under the same conditions.

13.4 has been around a long time and changing bolts to studs has been allowed a long time. It’s been clarified over and over.

so, it seems it is indeed allowed. may do this next year, these bolts are a PITA

Thanks for clarifying that.

In which case, they could put it under clarifications, or in the relevant section.

Why wait? It's cheap and there is still so much of the season left.

i'm broke, and it doesn't save me any money in the long run (like a second set of wheels does).. the rest of my "budget" for this year will go to a second set of tires once these burn out, and then 20+ events I've got left this season...

how much are they? like 120 right?

About $100 but then you have to buy lug nuts.

Not the size I'd be looking for. I'm running 225/45-16.
