Dunlop sells the same tire in rF and non RF versions.
i am a little dissatisfied with the stiff ride i have. i understand 17 inch wheels are the biggest contributor but would the non RF's be softer as they would need a less ridgid sidwall?

Low profile tires will always ride rougher whether they are runflat or not. If you want the best ride quality go down to 15" non-runflat rubber or for the best balance in handling and ride quality pick a 16" substitution. Wheels 17" and up are just for show and looks IMO.

I would agree with the theory that cooper4us discussed. I would comment that much of your ride's harshness is due to runflat tires. There are MANY other choices out there in non runflat, for you to pick from. See the sticky at the top of the page for sizes and weights.
