SMF (Street Modified FWD) The "I'm obsessed with 275/35-15" thread
The "I'm obsessed with 275/35-15" thread
I started a new thread because I thought it might be rude to discuss another companies wheels in 949's thread.
Anywho, for about $93 Diamond Racing wheels will make a steel 15 x 10 wheel with a backspace of 1" to 6 1/2" at 18#. Ugly, but durable.

The question is, what backspacing would be optimal? If necissary, I plan on racing with the plastic "spats" removed to provide extra room.

Humm....those look interesting, who cares about looks if they are cheap and functional...now if only we could find 275 hoosiers at a bargain price....
They mention that their wheels are for cars 2500lbs or less, have you talked to them about that? I wonder if we'd see lots of wheel deflection on our cars?
Assuming front fitment only, for backspace, my guess is you want to be around 6" or maybe 6 1/4". That will tuck the wheel in as close to front strut as possible. My 15x8 6UL's measure just about 6" backspace and my 225/45/15 Hoosiers stick out about 1/4" beyond the rim. I have less than 1/4" clearance to the front strut body with this setup. The 15x10 with a
6 1/4" backspace might a touch too close to the strut, but that allows you to fine tune your clearance with a small spacer.
Keep us up to date on these wheels!
