LRP was a split race, only the GS race will be on tomorrow. It is my understanding the next ST race to be televised is Miller which is a combined race.
The above is subject to change based on Grand Am and Speed working out additional dates for ST to be televised. We would love to see additional dates on TV, it would would help a lot of teams find funding. The TV schedule is on the Grand Am site.

Alain, Randy, very best of luck to you guys. I feel good about this one as I am quite confident in Alain's talent behind the wheel. He has spent some good time there.
Someone get an in car video set up , ... PLEASE!

. . . at the track. ran 17th this morning at practice w/ 138.650. Track is very fast so aerodynamics are in play, again !
We are still chasing innercooler temp problems. But all in all .. . all is well.
Next practice is late this afternoon. Q & race on Sunday.

Things are getting much better. Randy is doing a great job learning a really difficult track with a limited amount of running.
The heat issues are somewhat getting under control and we are much closer in speed with the leading cars.
The set-up is getting better and better. Great team, great crew, very well-prepped cars. Lots of fun. Hoping for good things for the race.
Just saw we finished the last session 13th. Time for a rest, It's been a long day....

Alain, appreciate the report. I'd be curious to hear what's been done to tame the heat issues... Looks like no rain, and highs of about 77 F, so not that hot. Have a heck of a time out there!
Just started a thread on the Mid-Ohio Motoring Club forum.

Mosport Wrap up
13th place . . . not too shabby. The car ran great, the handling was good and tire wear was excellent.
The weather was cooler on race day than practice day and that definitely helped the performance. We removed the air/water innercooler and went back to an air/air setup. The IC temps were manageable but still higher than we would like.
Lots of credit to Alain who took the wheel at lap 45 and drove a fast and safe race. Mosport is his home track and it showed. He knows the fast way around and squeezed everything that the 197 Mini had to offer. His coaching allowed me to catch on faster than I could have normally. Alain and I walked the track on Friday night and he pointed out all the little tricks and hidden secrets the track had in store.
Mosport is an extremely fast and technical track. It's easy to drive BUT very difficult to drive fast. Virtually every driver started slow and it took race lapping to finally figure out some of the quirks. In spite of Alain's excellent coaching, it took me 10 race laps to finally get into the 1:37's. Alain set fast lap on # 81 with a 136.733.
With the high speeds and lots of elevation changes, we had trouble running with the leaders. Mosport is a horsepower track. We could turn with best of them . . . in fact better . . . but the HP of the others just overpowered us in a number of sections. Some very bold passes were rendered mute when the long straight with a severe hill climb appeared.
Summary . . . we were happy with the result. Only 21 cars showed up, but they were the TOP 21 cars. . . quantity was low but quality was high. Only two cars failed to finish and only one didn't make the grid.
Also, thanks to Alain's friend's who helped us crew. They were great ! Thanks for the hard work guys!!
Mid Ohio on Thursday . . . with both cars!

Mid Ohio Crew
RSR could use a little crew help at Mid Ohio if anyone is interested.
We need two people to help with non-technical support on race day. . . no 'over the wall stuff'.
Send me a PM !
Thanks Randy

We had a great time and sure appreciated the meticulous preparation of the car. The level of details on the MINI is amazing!
There are a lot of talents and hard work behind the scene. The (other) good news is that the car is not that far off-pace at a track where we knew we'd have a bit of a challenge keeping-up (power-wise). Lots of promises for this package ...
It's a bit of an understatement to mention that the driving sure is on the agressive side in the series, but that didn't prevent us from passing a few cars. It just created a couple of "moments" in order to ensure we would bring Randy his car back with all the body panels intact... But Randy, please make sure you tell me how much it costs to replace the "CRUISE AMERICA" sticker on the rear bumper. It couldn't have been me doing the bump-drafting, it's on the rear bumper.
Thanks again to all!
Good luck at Mid-Ohio!
