I have my MINI in at Schomp this morning for the second scheduled maintenance (~27,600 miles). As a result, I was the first customer to experience this change in the drop off procedure.

From this point forward, MINI service is now in the MINI building. Not only that, but we drop the cars off about half way down the EAST side of the building. Ian (the MINI service writer) is now located inside the MINI sales area near the roll-up door on the west side.

BTW, I managed to get a BMW 325i as a loaner car. Nice car, but I'd rather have the MINI.

So are you going be crusing in the 325 tonight? If it storms it would be better to be out and about in their BMW than your MINI

cool news that the MINIs are gonna be where they belong. i dropped my MCS off last week for a broken Power Steering pump (@1300 miles), and picked it up on Tuesday from teh BMW side... and all i got was a Honda Civic!

Shoot me an e-mail if you are going to attend and have not already done so. I'm just trying to get a rough head count. dave@mini5280.org

I've never had a "luxury car" like a BMW and I kinda enjoyed being spoiled on the "BMW Side" with designer Bimmer water, posh comfy waiting area, and thoughtful service. Hopefully the separate MINI service is just as good! As fun as the 325i is, wouldn't it be fun to drive another MINI as a loaner for a day?!

when Ian handed me the keys to the Civic last week, he said, "Sorry about this. But we do plan on having some MINI loaners... soon."

...

i'll need to see if i can make it tonight based on my workload - i'll know in an hour or two. for the un-inititaed (i.e. prosepective member) what are the meetings all about, and are we gonna go see the Matrix afterwards?

yeah, that's the plan. Meet in front of the theater and buy tickets, then hit dinner at Johnny Carinos.

As much as I do like the 3'er, I would rather have my MINI.

I'd like to have a JCW Cooper S loaner for a day.
