Is MINIUtah.com down?

I keep getting "cannot find server" errors. Anyone from the local club know what's going on? Rick? Ryan? Karen?

Yep, it must be. I just IM'd Ryan to make sure it wasn't just me. To be honest we're getting a bit frustrated with the site. Being down is one thing, but for it's own members not to have control is another. Possiblity of a new site???

Some dude I've never met since I've been a around this past year. little frustrating. Who knows, I might just use NAM from now on. That way everybody is in the loop on UT happenings, not that that's a lot of happenings in our mild state.

looks like it is still having issues. Came back for a second.

I think using NAM is good, but we really do need our own site to keep in touch like we need to. Wonder if Ryan could do something around that? He seems to know a lot of computer type stuff.

I've basically asked Ryan to get one going for us. I'll donate some money to get the ball rolling on this too. Ryan's awesome with this stuff. We could have a pretty good website very quickley.

I would be willing to get it rolling. Let's get some cash and register a name!

10 bucks to register a name for a year and then 5 bucks a month to host it.

Wow, that's a little steep.

Just the three of us should be able to handle it for now to get it going. I also bet Rick and John would pitch in and help.

Man, I think we should've done this a long time ago.

Viva la UtahMinis!!

Contact Mark Ferguson about hosting. NAM is now hosting both the SCMC and AMVIV sites for us. Fairly easy to transfer.
If someone in the club owns the MINIUtah.com name, even if they are no longer active, you should be able to transfer the hosting to a new location. If you can possible keep the same name, you should. It has value, if only that it's in a number of people's Bookmark lists.

I agree, it would be nice to keep the same name. So are both of you (Ryan and Matt) planning on attending the mid month rally next Tuesday? We should probably start a post on that here at NAM with the site down. I'll do that.

I am going to be there.

On a side note. http://www.utahminis.com is now online. I am working to get it set up for a forum and such.

Indeed NAM can host

it is the best thing we ever did. We also use the NAM calendar, left margin, religiously. Our folks find it easy. That said, we kept the www.MINI5280.org site and use it for pics and links to NAM. It too is easy to maintain, just that it does not get the traffic that NAM does...

The site (miniutah.com) is down again? Of course just when we're trying to nail down plans for the mid month drive...

Yeah, not sure why. I've heard that MiniUtah is under the member's control now. Maybe they're having problems switching it over. Hopefully people realize to come on by here instead.

Nope we still don't have control of it yet. Can't seem to get him to reply.

UtahMinis.com anyone??? If we don't get a response from him today, that means we might have a lot of confused people for our Mid-monther tomorrow. I still say we start up a seperate site. I understand we want to keep all the info and pictures from the other, but anyway we can transfer it all over?

Hey Matt,

I've been out of town and thought Ryan had gotton further on this, aparently Chris or Reid have not called him back. I was just going to go to their work and talk.

I have sent Chris and Ryan an email and am trying to help out!

I'll let you know...

As far as the mid-monther, I hope it is on. Haven't seen much of Nate on the topic, I assume he is okay if everyone goes up the canyon and then hits a Sonic?

Oh Yeah,

I can't get utahminis to register my name. I would assume Ryan has backed off the idea of this site since we are SO CLOSE to having control of miniutah.

Just an assumption!
