I have put the request for transfer in. Now we have to wait to see if the transfer is accepted. Will keep you posted.

MiniUtah.com is back up and working. Still being told that we have the rights verbally, but no action from the owner. All in all, we should have a pretty good site when it's all said and done. I know the sites been having some problems....obviously, but I think we shouldn't hesitate to try to reformat the whole thing to wipe it clean. Now that it's in the hands of people that are actually active in posting and attending events, things should be much easier and faster.

Looks like MiniUtah is down again. Man, I wonder what's been going on this last month.

Well, I just found this thread. Looks like it's still down.

There was a discussion earlier in the thread about someone else hosting the site for a pretty steep price. I'd be willing to help out financially to keep it going..

I wouldn't mind moving over to NAM too.

Well, a couple of us, already made a jump to create a new site, www.utahminis.com. The problem is with the new site, is that it's very new and isn't sorted out yet. It sounded like we had permission to use the name miniutah, but we haven't seen it quite yet. Servers crash and people go on vacation, it happens, but with the July rally coming up this weekend, people will be checking the site more regularly for info. Just hope we'll have it up by thurs or Fri for those procrastinators....like me .

I have a server

I can offer some free hosting on a server I rent from Sagonet.com. All I ask is some donations from people that find it useful. Please contact me if your intertested and I will work with you on getting the site transferred.

I hope we get it straightened out soon, this is all the MINI action I can get now. My clutch went out this afternoon on the way home from work - actually just down the street from Ryan's house. Had her towed to the dealership tonight and will figure the damage out tomorrow.

I HATE not having my car.....

I'm taking my MINI to the dealership in the morning for new brake and to check a few things! Might be out a day or two as well!

How many miles you have on your car??? It couldn't be that much, especially for the clutch to go completely out!!

22K...not many miles at all. May not actually be the clutch, but something related to actuation. I should find out tomorrow.

My passenger mirror fell off yesterday while driving home. I looked over and it began to wobble more and more until it was hanging by the heater wires. I was able to catch it before both wires broke from it flailing around.

Today I went to the dealer and good ol' Levi was able to fix it in a few minutes. Props on the quick service!

That's nice, never good to have something fall off the car. Maybe that's just British charm, though, right?

Levi called me back just now and apparently my slave cylinder is out, so it's not my clutch exactly, which is what I had hoped. I'm having a bunch of stuff taken care of while it's in. AC whine is very loud, might be an issue there, have a little buzz in the drivetrain at about 2500 RPM, having them install and AUX input. Hopefully it'll be back in running condition in a couple of days.

It's looking like the forum died, literally:

message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?

Anyone else getting this or am I nutz?

I'm getting it too. I sent Chris a message. It appears to be just with the Forum related things. That may be on a differenr server. Chris is usually up late, so maybe it will get fixed.

I haven't talked with Ryan since he left. I don't know what progress has occured with the transfer in the last two-three days.

Miniutah worked well for the last few days, I think we are close to the transfer....???

At least we have a back-up here and on utahminis.com. Aside from that, there is nothing too pressing (event wise) for a week or two.

Matt, we missed ya yesterday.....HUGE rally, like 40-43 MINI!

It's getting old!

I wish Chris would just give us the data base and I wish Reid would release the name.......

Perhaps we need to just send them both emails to remind them the site is down and to release it!

Their email's grahn@xmission.com, design@xmission.com be nice!

We,ve made some progress! Reid took some monies yesterday and said he would transfer the site! So we are getting close to Ryan having complete control...

Otherwise Chris said he knew why the site had been crashing and it should not be doing it anymore....

Progress!
