best place to purchase a mini in CO?
best place to purchase a mini in CO?
hey guys im kinda new to these forums but i looking to get a mini. I ave been to "the import warehouse" and checked two out, but both seemed a little overpriced. I also went down to ralph schomp and test drove a 07 mcs but they seem pretty expensive too, but more flexible than the import warehouse. where would you guys reccomend that i look to get the best price, and what should i look for, consider? oh and im looking for a MCS for sure
thanks
thanks
NOW...you are in the right place!
Your friends (you don't know most of the 200,000 or so of them) will help you find a MINI.
Of course, Ralph Schomp MINI has the highest volume and choice of used MINIs since that is their business. The advantage is that in many cases, they have maintained the trade-in vehicles under warranty and can certify the work that has been done. Timing is key - they get new ones in weekly when us current owners trade in.
The same could be said of Sandia MINI in Albuquerque. Give them a call.
But the NAM Forums here (MINIs in General, Marketplace) are your best bet. Go there, describe what you want, you will get replies, suggestions and perhaps some offers.
Also note that you should post (WTB Wanted to Buy) in BOTH the MINI5280 and Rocky Mtn Forums so that pp in our entire region can see what you are looking for.
Oh, and those other online places where they sell your used stuff. What are they called?
Other than that, it is a C**Pshoot when or where any other dealer may have one.
I do know of one nice 2003 MCS, PS/B with intake, wire, pulley, exhaust, swaybar, window tint, and some cool window stickers. Lovingly maintained by Schomp, brand new tyres, auto-up circuit, iPod connection (thanks Rick), floor mats, comes with 15 different state maps (places it has been). 47k odo, mostly highway miles. Chipped and Tuned by Webb. $28,500 Firm.

Were I you I'd shop around for what you want; if you haven't already go to www.miniusa.com and build one with all the options you want. Then you'll know what you're looking for in a car.
From there shop around at the MINI dealerships or keep your eyes peeled for any number of other dealerships to have one on the lot. Get an idea of the price you're willing to pay for the options you want and go from there.
Though I've not looked closely there are plenty of cars available through NAM as Jonathan suggested. No matter where you end up; I'd recomend that you get the car that makes you happy, not just one that you're ok with and are willing to settle on. If none of us loved our MINIs then the world would be a sad place.
