Mickey, very nice! That's the first in-car vid I've seen of Laguna Seca, and it really puts things in perspective from having watched races there... I saw Brandon today, and many of his cool videos while he wrenched on my MCS. His attention to detail was impressive. I appreciate the reference!

Phil, if you can capture some video at Laguna, please do indeed share.

I will likely do the front, in car and rear in car on different runs ...should be wicked, then I will try the Vacu-Cam, maybe on the hood or roof ? hehe

Hey TonyB,
So what did you do at Roger Krause's? Alignment? Corner balance?
Brandon is an awesome driver!

I have a confession: That video was done back in March this year.
It was so cold and (as usual) the windows are down - I turned on my heated seat.

Great to hear Phil!!! It's looking like this Road Race forum will be a popular one

Mickey, Brandon did just about everything today: mount & balance of new tires (205/45-16), alignment, and corner-balance! Brandon was meticulous, almost **** about getting things right, and I truly appreciated that. I saw several vids of him, and he is very good for sure...

Also, he brought you up a few times (good things of course ), and mentioned something about getting you all of his vids so you can watch them, and/or put them on a CD. He's racing tomorrow, of course, but you might want to contact him soon...

I'll see him tomorrow - will be at Thunderhill for the 25 hr Enduro.

So, how is the car now that it is balanced?

Dang, you'll be at the Enduro?! I believe he'll be in a Miata, but I'm not sure...

Mickey, as you know, with the Leda fiasco that went on for over half a year, then the PSS9's that got installed a couple or so months back... I've been dying for an alignment. And boy, did I need it! It was out a whack pretty good. I had over 3 degrees negative in the rear and the toe was very much off, which I was able to tell due to the tire wear. With new tires going-on, it was time to finally get this done... and it feels SO much better!!!

I didn't get too wild:

Front, -2.0 with toe 16th out, pressure at 38lbs

Rear, -1.4 with toe 16th in, pressure at 36 lbs

Amazingly, Webb's camber plates went to -3.0! Good to know in case I ever want to go that far...

Have a blast at the Enduro, and please share with us your experiences, photos or vids. Thanks again!

Nice pics of your car. Can you give us some info on the rules for your class in your club racing. Also some pics of your interior. Thanks for joining this forum.

There are 3 classes that run together in a race;

Class A: Car with the engine bigger than 2500cc, or more then 1600cc force fed (Honda B20 VTECH also run in this class)
Class B: 1600 up
Class C: Less than 1600

All cars must be two wheels drive only. Not so much of the rules .

My interior is still very standard thinking about Seat, Harness and maybe a Rollcage.

Cheers

I have another guestion about your club racing. What organization runs your club races and do they let you run without a rollbar or cage in your car. I find it really odd to have all those cars on the track in a club race without saftey equipment. How laps do you run or is it a timed event. Thanks Larry

It is not a timed event. The race is organized by a group of AutoX racer and supported by the RTTA (motorsport authority in Thailand), most cars have roll bars and cages but there are some exception to the newer cars.

I recently joined BMWCCA and I am very inexperienced, so you won't see me posting advice here. I'll watch and learn and occasionally write a congratulatory post.

Where's Minzilla ?

Well I may be slower than MOTORN to get to this thread, BUT I am definitely faster than he is on the track, and I have proof! We Ric and I started doing HPDE's last year and enjoy them immensly, it is a bug and I have it, bad.
Fortunate in that I live only 15 minutes from Mid Ohio, have done 6 two day events, Mid Ohio, Putnam, Gingerman, and looking forward to doing more tracks and events, if this keeps up will probably pursue a club race license?

After each HPDE I seek and add more mods, I have not yet made the decision to strip the car and make it, full track, but it is leaning that way, Next mods will be coil overs and corner balancing, roll bar and fire supression, and another set of light weight wheels and R compounds, maybe some light weight seats and 5 point. I am a big guy and need some advice (other than push away from the table sooner) as to seats that have a big *** section in them? Mods currently on Minzila are :
My car specs:
B&M short shifter
rear seat delete
Schroth Harnesses
Alta C.A.I.
M7 BB throttle body
Unichip
Alta 15% Pulley
Alta 2% Light Weight Crank Pulley
Alta A/A intercooler
Nology Plug Wires
Denso IK22 Plugs
Pilo Coil Pack
Milltek Header
Milltek Catback
Alta Oil Catch Can
Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve
Ireland Street/Track Front Camber Plates
H-Sport Springs
H-Sport Front and Rear Comp. Sway Bars
H-Sport Rear Camber Links
DT/Wilwood Big Brake Kit (front)
ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid
Kosei K1-TS wheels
Khumo MX
In the works:
Roll Bar
Fire supression
2nd set Kosei K1TS & R Compounds (dry)
light weight battery, remove stock box
Single 3" pipe exhaust
Want info on :
splitter
wing
lexan windows
sunroof panel lightweight
seats

Zilla
Larry from Buffalo. How are you and Ric doing. I haven't heard from you guys since Lexington. I'll have to catch up to you guys at one of the events at Beaver Run or Mid-Ohio. I should get you guys up to Watkins Glen for one of our BMWCCA events or one of the NASA events. Check out Nasaproracing.com You should check their HPDE list and their race license reguirements. I think you'd like it. What is Ric's name here on NAM. Stay in touch and hope to see you guys this summer. I was going to see you at the last Dragon but had to cancel out at the last minute. Good Luck with your racing. Keep us informed please.

Is Zilla really faster? Or is it the gas from his chili that makes him faster these days. Did you ever get the brakes on your son's car.

Yeah Phil I see that, I was interested in th eHPDE costs and tried to get that info thru registration, however they do not have the OH/InD ones up yet, Typically, how much are these schools and how much track time and classroom time is normal?
Thanks
Steve

Phil here, old screenname ..hehe

They have choices, 1 day, 2 day, let you choose what run group, etc...
I think the rates were like 150 per day? not sure anymore, sign-ups are up on website and visible to see who else will be there, in what cars and run group =cool

Classroom is decent, very basic, guy stands up, goes over concepts, draws, etc... Standard stuff, IMHO, a little rushed at Mid-Ohio, "quick, get back in the classroom" ...LOL
