Hey Peter how are you doing?
After seeing Ian at Barber he has a way to go without worrying about finding a helmet
I'm more worried about his man bearings shrinking!!

Obviously you have never had to ride in the same car as his helmet. After 4.5 years of observing Ian driving my cars I don't think his man bearings are at risk.

I don't think the GT2 or the E46M3 need to fear the MINI without any more mods. Something about a 30 to 40 mph higher speed on the straights will do that to you

Peter

Awesome stuff Jan. I'm glad you got to enjoy Puerto Rico, sorry about the sunburn though. I know from experience how much it stings

Thanks again for taking a day off from vacation to tune our cars , wish I could have stayed longer to watch the rest.

Man, watching that MINI fly through Road Atlanta is insane. Ian definitely has some serious skills

Jan,
Not to hijack this thread, but I got an 07 R56 MCS with all major JCW kits on it and I have got the track bug real bad. What mods would you recommend for this car to turn it into a more capable track car? How much gain would an intercooler and a tune provide? I am also working on improving my driving skills at the same time. I would like to terrorize more powerful cars on the track, just like Ian does!!!

I wonder if there is anything we could do in the tune to make it shoot flames.

I've seriously considered adding a flamethrower kit to Blimey. Seriously. Because that's how I ride.

(patiently waiting for minimark to post something about burritos and a bic lighter)

I race over in SCCA in showroom stock, in fact if they give the mini some of the goodies they are talking about I might build one. This being the shop car I can't put a cage in it. Down in florida region the TT classes are a bit more subscribed too. We regularly end up with more then enough cars to win tires.

We got some good testing during the practice Sat morning and found a pretty neat item that yielded a very unexpected result. I'm compiling the data so Jan can share with all!
