Fun!

Tell us more about your MINI, please....which class do you run in? What can you do in that class? what all have you done?

Also what was that blue car that passed you on the first lap? A Radical?

Must have been fun passing that Vette!

I run in NASA PT-C.

I currently run at a 14.01:1 PTW; the class allows for up to 12:1 PTW.

It is hard to find more power from the engine without taking too many points and moving me up to PTB.

Lots have been done to the car!

Bilstein PSS9, Stoptech BBK on Front, OZ wheels, Hoosier R6 tires, larger fuel injectors, weight reduced supercharger pulley, CAI, stock header, custom exhaust, cat removal, rear sway bar, roll cage, RaceTech halo seat, 5-pt. harness, GoPro camera, significantly weight reduced.

Yeah, that was a Radical - wicked fast. There was also a couple of Vipers and a PTG BMW race car out there. There was something wrong with that Vette - it was going very slow.

I have a friend who runs a T1 (I think) Corvette on the east coast in NASA - I really like the way they run their series.......

Look forward to seeing some more vids!

What camera are you using? GoPro?

For those not familiar with NASA, they base their classes on Power to Weight Ratio, so you can find a real mix of stuff in any given class, as long as the PWR is consistant and within the class restrictions. NASA claims they can find a class for anything to run in, and in fact I remember a guy driving an early 3 spd 3 cyl Saab Sonnet in one of their races - three on the tree and all!

Yes, I use a GoPro wide angle camera.

NASA does classing based on a combination of PTW and performance modifications. So, yes, you can find a group to run in with just about anything!

Hello Scorpio,
You know that you could also race in the GTS Challenge in GTS-2 Or even IN GTS-3 where I have raced besides BMWCCA D-Mod.
Here is a clip from my last NASA race at Barberlast June. PTW top of class is 11 int GTS-3.
Good luck,
Steve

Your Line improved a lot in the second vid. Although, I think you can come out a bit more before turning in for turn 2. In the first vid though you were early apexing on 2,5, and 9...on the actual race 5 and 9 looked better.

Push out a bit more before 2 and turn in a smidge later...you should be able to carry more speed and exit faster on that line.

Oh...and the NasCar 4 /11 Again...it looked better in the race. But in the first vid you were just getting on the gas too late. If you haven't pushed out to 3 ft from the wall then you didn't get on early enough...I always used, AS SOON as my periphial vision saw the dashed line, I was full on the gas and never let up. Of course in race conditions you always have to adjust...and like I said, durring the race just about everything looked good.
