Not that anyone really cares, but I just placed the order for the OS Giken STP clutch kit. Includes a new flywheel. We'll see how it goes, but should give me more than enough clamping power.

Just got my JMTC clutch finished up. I cannot stress how important it is to change your slave AND master cylinder. My stage 3 was slipping like crazy, thought it was just the kevlar breaking in, changed the master and now we are holding all the powers.

That doesn't make any sense. The slave and master only act on the clutch when it is depressed so it Should be released when pressed.

If it was slipping the only way a slave or master could cause that is if they were holding pressure on the fork. I've never had to replace the slave or master on an R56 yet and done like 100 or more clutches.

From what I was told from the clutch vendor (who i didn't purchase the master from) is that the master has a check valve that can fail/clog and when you release the pedal, pressure remains in the line to the slave and the clutch doesn't have full contact on the FW and PP. I put 700 miles on the clutch before swapping the master, slipped in all gears on MapA of my tune. Within 100 miles of swapping it I'm holding everything I can throw at in Map B, dramatic turn around

Well, either way, I'll make sure my mechanic checks it all out he's pretty familiar with these cars. Thanks for the heads up.

About 45k. I bought it with 29K and I drive it fairly briskly Plus with the up-gades, I spun that clutch more than once. I looked at what they took out and there was a lot less than 1/8" left on it.
