redBARON: 2013. ALL4 PACEMAN.

Well, the journey continues...

Too many MINIs to drive, too little time.

Meet redBARON!

2013. ALL4 MINI PACEMAN S.

First outing at the BIMMER CRUISE...

Tramp stamp: gone!

New RINGS:

"Name tag":

The transplant...

Necessity:

In the woods...

The more I drive it, more I like it. Design I liked since the concept introduction. Day by day, I like it even more. Yes, it"s big MINI but who cares? I don"t... Since I can not buy the "original size" new MINI, might as well try this "rally car" MINI...

Bookmark this tread if you liked my MINI photography before, 'cause there will be more...

Great pictures!

I think the Paceman driving is the MINI experience between the big Countryman and the agile hatch.

Will you black out the chrome trim around the tail lights as well? Can a full size spare tire fit in the boot?

Just did the rear lights today...
Tomorrow, the grill trim...

Full size is too big for the boot floor. I got the BENZ spare wheel and adapter. All info. here: http://www.tdnparts.com/spare-tire-adapter-kit/

Great link! I plan on ditching the runflats as soon as I mount snows in a couple of months. I've been riding an 11+ year stretch of no flats with my R50 and R53, so my luck is bound to run out at some point. If it happens with my R61 this adapter kit will save the day.

Happy to share!
I got the info. on R60 FB page. Full size spare was not the option for me because I NEED MY BOOT SPACE and rear seat space. This is such a neat solution and it works as advertised.

What snow tires did you go with? Mounted to dedicated wheels? I just ordered a set of Pirelli Winter Sottozero in 205/55/17 mounted to Focal F04 in black.

No winters yet... I am planning on getting 225/50/17 for stock wheels (on car now). In spring (hopefully when I sell my 18" WORK Meister S1R) I will get NM 19" with some nice summer rubber

Gotcha. You seem pretty knowledgeable about the Paceman. Do you know if the upgraded rear swaybar for the Countryman will fit the Paceman?

Still learning all about R60/61...
All modding parts (suspension, engine, ehxaust, etc...) are easy fit. Basically only stuff behind the front doors, above the rear wheels and rear of the boot are different... So, there are no rear lights black rings yet. I had to do DIY my self. Mounting points on rear bumper are the same (for bike rack, etc.). I still did not confirm if the boot dimensions are equal, but considering that that spare wheel fits at the bottom I think it's the same.

Thank you for your new photos.

One suggestion:
I bought the new MINI Black line side indicators and it looks better than the standart indicator.
Please take a look at my Garage photo.

Or here (No. 3):

It's been a while... Winter is Rock & Rolling here in Toronto, big time...
So, these photos are quite appropriate...

Looks right at home in the white stuff, doesn't it!

You got wheel spacers on there? Wheels look like they're setting a tad wider in the later pics than the earlier ones.
